"Holy shit", Nate said in amazement
"Whoa", Ella muttered
"Victor Sullivan, welcome to Ubar", Nate stated, the three descending down the stairs, and to a working water fountain
"Incredible", Nate said, "this is how the city could thrive all the way out here",
"There has to be an underground cave system for this to work", Ella stated as Nate drank the water
"It's clean", Nate said, "it's amazing it's still running after all these years",
"But I wonder what happened to the city, why was it abandoned", Ella asked as the two walked around, going forward, not long after, Nate began tripping again
"Nate, you alright", Ella asked, Nate's behavior confused the two, not long after, Nate ran off
"Kid", Sully shouted, but Nate didn't listen, travelling deeper into the city
"Something isn't right here, there has to be something in the water", Ella said
"Come on, we'd better find Nate", Sully said as Ella nodded her head and the two continued forward; after Nate, following the sound of gunfire and having to deal with Marlowe's men at the same time; not long after, the two entered the underground area where soon, both Ella and Sully found Nate
"That you, kid", Sully asked, rounding the corner and seeing Nate, "oh, thank god",
"Nate, you alright", Ella asked
"Man, we had a hell of a time", Sully began as Nate pointed his gun at Sully, "what's the matter with you",
"How do I know you're real", Nate asked, Sully put his hands up, and walked up to Nate, lowering the gun and flicking him on the head
"That real enough for you, don't ever point a gun at me again", Sully stated
"Nate, what happened", Ella asked
"I saw them shoot you", Nate said, "right after the eclipse",
"What eclipse", Sully asked
"Nate, from what I can gather, something was in that water, you went crazy after you drank it", Ella explained
"It's the water, that's what destroyed the city, not the wrath of god; the whole water supply is tainted with some sort of hallucinogenic agent, must've drove everyone mad", Sully explained
"That's what Marlowe, Anne, and Talbot are after", Ella said
"Oh, man, yeah... remember, Cutter said, "they controlled their enemies through fear"; oh, this'd do it in spades, but wait, it doesn't make any sense, how do you think they're getting the water out of here", Sully stated as Nate and Ella put all the pieces together
"Not the water... what's in the water", Ella said
"Come again", Sully asked
"Alright, listen, just bear with us for a second", Nate explained, "Salim told us Iram was cursed when Solomon imprisoned the evil spirits of the Djinn inside a vessel of brass, and then cast it into the depths of the city",
"A genie in a bottle", Sully asked
"It sounds crazy, I know, but I went after one of Solomon's treasures, and that too was cursed", Ella replied
"So, you reckon that's why Elizabeth and Dee sent Francis Drake out here in the first place", Sully asked
"Yeah, it wasn't treasure they were after, it was power", Nate explained, "only once Drake realized what he'd been sent for, he abandoned the mission, he lied to the Queen; told her he didn't find anything, and then hid all traces of his voyage; rewrote history",
"Well, who are we to argue with Sir Francis; whaddya say we head down there and end this thing once and for all", Sully asked
"Let's go kick some butt", Ella stated making Nate laugh as the three continued forward, deeper below into the caverns
"Things are gonna get hairy, you guys ready", Sully asked
"Let's do this", Nate said as everyone continued forward, only to be spotted by Marlowe's goons, after a shootout, the three continued forward, finally reaching where they needed to be
"Let's see what they're up to", Sully asked, opening a metal crate, revealing scuba gear, and an underwater gun
"Well, they're definitely going into the water", Nate stated
"Sweet... I'm holding onto this", Sully said, taking the underwater gun
"What do you guys say we get this door open and crash the party", Ella asked as the two men nodded their heads; opening the door, the three made their way to a room, Marlowe, Anne, and Talbot were all at one end of the room; a crane lifting something out of the water, Nate, Ella, and Sully quickly going into cover before they were seen
"Careful, lift it gently", Marlowe ordered, the three looked into the water to see something slowly rising up, the vessel of brass was almost to the surface
"You gotta be kidding me", Sully muttered
"We gotta take that thing out", Nate stated, quietly
"Any ideas, we're outnumbered here", Ella whispered
"Let's... let's split up, try to flank 'em", Sully stated
"Yeah, better odds that way", Nate said as the three went their separate ways, unfortunately, Nate was spotted by Talbot, but Sully knocked the gun out of his hands and Talbot pushed him into the water
"No", Nate shouted, diving into the water, Ella staying in cover, watching in fear until something hit the crane, destroying it, sending the brass vessel back into the depths
"No", Marlowe shouted
"More gunshots came from the water, destroying the place
"Marlowe, Anne, we've got to go, now", Talbot ordered, the place was coming down, fast, as Marlowe and her gang left, Nate and Sully emerged from the water
"Are you two alright", Ella asked, running up to them
"Yeah, please tell me you didn't swallow any of that water", Nate asked
"I... I don't think so", Sully replied
"Guys, whole place is coming down, we have to go", Ella stated
"This is why we can't have nice things", Sully said, the two getting up and making a run for it, Marlowe's men stopping the three from advancing, which caused a huge shootout; a whole bunch of dead goons later, Nate, Ella, and Sully made it up to the top of the cavern where they all ran into Marlowe, Anne, and Talbot.
