Chapter 14

AFTER the war I saw Heather and Cohen they are so happy to be together now. Ngayon ay babalik na kami sa pilipinas para magkaroon na rin ng magandang buhay ang dalawa. Balak na rin nilang magpakasal.

"So ready to go back?" Zach tapped my shoulder. And I smile. 

"Of course. I'm excited to see my wife, but for now kailangan ko munang magrelax." sabay sandal ko sa sofa dahil kasalukuyan kaming nasa private plane. 

"I can sense the love then. You already realized how much she mean to you." huminga naman si Zach sa isa pang sofa para magpahinga. 

Gusto kong kumalma pero bakit kinakabahan ako ngayong pauwi na ako sa pinas? I don't know but I feel like there's something bad happened to her.

PAGKARATING namin sa pinas agad akong sumakay sa kotse para makauwi agad ako sa mansyon, pero pinigilan naman ako ni Dad. What now? 

"What?"

"Son, goodluck" I looked at him with confusion. 

"Is there any problem, dad?" 

"Nothing. Just goodluck. Gotta go" tumalikod naman ito sakin, samantalang ako walang ideya sa kanyang iniisip 

Pagkapasok ko sa gate ng mansion agad akong lumabas sa kotse at pumasok sa loob. 

"Ellen, I'm home" no responds.

"Ellen?" paulit ulit kong tinawag ang pangalan niya at inikot ko ang buong mansion. The house was empty. 

May naalala naman akong kwarto na hindi ko pa pinasokan kaya doon ako nagtungo, saka binuksan ang pinto. Nagulat ako dahil wala siya. 

Nanlamig ang buong katawan ko at sobrang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko, naglakad ako papasok sa kwarto tiningnan ang cabinet. Wala ng naiwan kahit isang damit doon, bumagsak naman ako sa kama at napahilamos ako sa mukha gamit ang aking palad. 

"Fuck Ellen!" napamura ako sa sakit hindi ko alam kung bakit. May napansin naman akong isang papel na ibabaw ng drawer nakalagay ang pangalan ko doon kaya kinuha ko ito at binuksan. 

Dear Hades, 
         I'm sorry if I ran away. I can't risks anymore. You abused me too much and that hurts me, I don't need a life like this. It doesn't mean na porket lumayas ako hindi kita mahal. You know how much I love you Hades, that's why I stayed for three years with you. But I realize those three years, I never been experienced those things like couples do. I know I'm so dramatic person but I am just telling you what my heart really wants to say. I know you're aware of that. I ran away because I didn't even know if you love me and that's very imposible that you will love me too dahil hindi ako yung tipo ng taong gusto mo. I get it. Alam ko na huli nating usapan, malinaw na sa akin lahat na ako lang ang nakakaramdam nito. I'm sorry Hades. But I'm leaving. I love you, goodbye.

Parang nadurog ang puso ko ng nabasa ko yun. My tears fell down like crazy. Damn this shit. Bakit ba ang manhid ko? Hindi ako naging mabuting asawa. I should do something before I left, I'm such an asshole.

"Damn it!" tinapon ko naman ang lamp sa pader at pinagsusuntok ko ang pader sabay sandal at doon na rin umupo. Kasabay na ang pagtulo ng mga luha ko sa mga mata. 

Sinabunutan ko naman ang buhok ko "Ellen bumalik ka please" 

 
NAG IINOM naman ang binata sa loob ng kwarto nila mismo ni Ellen. He checks all the CCTV files there's nothing there. It's empty. Walang nakikita na lumabas si Ellen. 

Nagriring naman ang phone nIya agad niya itong sinagot 

"Ellen?" sambit niya sa kabilang linya.

"What? No, this is not your wife. Now because of you're in love processing natawag mo na akong Ellen. And are you drunk?" ni-end call niya naman agad ito at lumagok ulit ng alak. 

Gulong gulo na siya hanggang sa may kumatok sa pintuan at binuksan ito. Naramdaman niya naman ang presensiya ng kanyang ama. 

"Lemme guess you're drinking for four hours. Am I right?" tanong ng ama nito. He smirked. 

"So what? No one cares. My wife left me!" sabay tapon niya sa bote ng jack daniels.

Umupo naman ang kanyang ama sa kama habang nakaharap ito sa kanya at bumuntong hininga. 

"Sometimes I asked myself if you are really my son. I was an ass before but not an ass like that. And did really your wife left you without a valid reason?" tumingin naman ito sa kanyang ama. 

"And why are you asking me like that?" he asked with a confused look. 

"Your wife didn't file a divorce paper. Because she already loves you. A real woman won't leave without a very important valid reason." nagtataka pa rin ito. 

"What are you talking about? She told me everything. Simula nung nasa isla pa kami at pati yung sulat niya. It is all clear that I am a bad husband to her. All valid reasons. Even though I did something for her" he smirked then he drinked his rum.

"Son, I know you changed for her but ot doesn't mean tatanggap na ang isang babae na ganun lang. Of course masasaktan sila. Magiging tanga sila. Look, kung ikaw si Ellen sinasaktan siya lagi ng kanyang asawa hindi niya ito maiwan dahil napamahal na rin ito. Nung nagbago ang asawa niya naging masaya nga siya pero hindi sa paraang gusto niya. A woman must deserves more effort or must experience what true love is. And prove yourself to her that you appreciate all the things she did to you, to prove that she means a lot to you–is the best way para mapatunayan mong mahal mo talaga siya..." napaisip naman si Hades. 

"If you'll just sit back and relax with your jack daniels. Well, I guess I'm just wasting my time here" aakmang aalis si Kolt ng napigilan siya ng kanyang anak. 

"Dad, uhm base on what you said to me. I guess you know where she is" Kolt smiled widely. 

"Affirmative!" 

"Can you tell me?" humarap ulit sa kanya and he tapped his son's shoulder. 

"It's for me to know and it's for you to found out. You did find Cohen's girlfriend. So what about your wife?" then he left. 

Hades was standing there and thinking what he wanted to do to find his wife. Bigla naman siyang napaisip ng ideya. 

"I can do this!"
