Okay forgive me because I can't remember the actual episode anymore, but did anyone else notice that in the episode where Astrid poses as Heather, Hiccup is straight up ready to MURDER Alvin to get Astrid back? Like he literally tells Toothless "do it bud" when Alvin threatens to drop her and Toothless gets ready to fire. Astrid is the one who has to tell him to stop. This is the Hiccup who wants to avoid war and murder at all cost. Plus (though there's less proof for this one it's more me guessing) Alvin has the book on him still. Hiccup was willing to risk destroying it to save her. Apologies for the blurry photo it's the best I could find on YouTube.
