Y'all this was like the ABSOLUTE BEST HICCSTRID MOMENT IN HTTYD. I know people will argue with me and say it it is not the best and the kiss or the romantic flight is the best, and I love those moments too, but this is truly beautiful. With one word Astrid truly accepts Hiccup. This is the peak of her realization of how this is what he has to do. This whole movie she is scared of him hurting himself or the village but now she sees this is what he is destined to do, unite the Vikings and dragons in peace and war. He uses the dragons to save them and she knows she can't stop him, this is who she is and they know the risks. So she accepts that he HAS TO DO THIS and basically says 'I trust you. GO do what you must and know I approve' which is something he's wanted this whole movie- her acceptance and approval. Like she knows how it will break her heart if something happens to him but as he and his father put it- "it's an occupational hazard." I can go on and on about his scene but y'all don't have all day so this is all. But just so you know, Hiccstrid turning point right here.
