UNEXPECTED - PART III

You can hear voices in the background

Nat: Hey YN, are you okay? 

YN: yeah, whats going on , what was that noise? 

Nat: Hydra.

YN: What?

Nat: Cmon, we have to get you out of here, we'll explain later

You get up and follow Nat to the meeting room. Everyone is sitting in silence , no one even dares to look at you

YN: What is going on? 

Tony: Sit down kid

You sit down between Peter and Nat  and Tony keeps talking

Tony: That was an explosion , Hydra, we dont know how, planted a bomb in the guest room

YN: In my old room? 

Tony: Yes, in your old room

YN: Well YBFN was staying there, thank god she left to work today , something coudl have happened to her

The whole room falls silent 

YN: Why is everyone so quiet , whats wrong?

Steve: Well, YBFN wasnt working today

YN: What do you mean? Of course she was.

Nat: Honey, she left early to get ready for a date with Thor.

YN: What ? She didnt tell me anything

Thor: She wanted to tell you after we were back, as a surprise - he says from the back of the room.

You look up at Thor and you can see he has tears in his eyes

YN: Okay, so where is she? Is she still there? We need to see if she's okay - you start getting up

Tony: We took her to Banner, but it was too much damage - he says putting an hand on your shoulder

Realisation of what he's saying hits you like a truck

YN: No, it cant be true, she's the only one I got, I cant loose her

Tony: Im really sorry YN, but we're going to find out who did this

YN: I-I cant do this right now

You get up and run to your room 

You sit on your bed as you start sobbing , she's gone, the most important person in your life is gone, just like that. 

After hours crying there's a soft knock at the door

YN: Please dont come in I dont want to talk to anyone.

The doors opens very slowly and you turn your head to look up

YN: I said-

Bucky: I heard you, but I dont think you should be alone right now. Im really sorry for your friend

YN: Thanks

Bucky gets closer to you and embraces you in his arms

YN: What are you doing?

Bucky: Comforting you,  dont think about it, you need it 

YN:Thanks Bucky 

After a few minutes you feel like you have nothing else to cry anymore so you look up and face Bucky

YN: Hey Bucky, can I ask you a question? 

Bucky: Sure

YN: How did you react when you lost Steve? 

Bucky: Like I was empty inside doll, he was the only family I had

He looks at you with sympathy in his eyes

Bucky: Look its not going to be easy, getting over loosing someone this importante never is, but you are strong and you'll honour her memory

YN: I guess you're right, I want to help catch who did this

Bucky: That's my girl - he smiles at you

YN: What? - You smile shyly

Bucky - Dont act like you dont love me doll - he smiles playfully

YN: You are so cocky Bucky Barnes

Bucky - Hey, at least I made you laugh

YN: Thanks , i needed it 

Bucky: Anytime doll, ill let you sleep now. 

--in the morning

Nat: Hey honey, how are you? 

YN: Better , thanks 

You get up and look a yourself in the mirror, your eyes are all puffy

YN: I'll go take a shower

You shower and head downstairs to get some food

YN: Good morning everyone

Steve: Hey there, how are you feeling? 

YN: Better I guess oh and Bucky? 

He looks up at you

Bucky: Yes doll? 

YN: Thank you for comforting me last night, out of everyone I thought would , you were at the bottom of the list - you give him a weak smile.

Bucky: Anytime doll

You grab some food and go back to your room

 - in the kitchen where there is Sam , Peter Steve and Bucky only

Sam: What was that about? 

Bucky: What? 

Sam: You comforting YN, I thought you guys didnt get along? 

Bucky: We dont, but its different, she needed a friend

Sam: Oh I see

Bucky: What Sam? Don't start okay

Steve: You know Buck, it's okay to have feelings 

Bucky: What are you talking about Steve? 

Peter: You know Mr Barnes they're right, if you like her its okay to admit it 

Bucky: Yeah right, like she's ever going to like me back, you all saw how she is around me, forget it boys its never going to happen.

Nat overhears the conversation and joins

Nat: I've seen how she gets when she talks about you Bucky, you should give it a shot

Bucky: Fine,  but first we need to find who killed YBFN
