shortly after leaving the gas station and getting back on the road, it had begun to pour. the streets grew wet, the sky dark, and fog filled the air. "at this rate we'll never make it to the airport." you whined as your eyes analyzed the sky with narrowed eyes.

"we'll make it don't worry," shoto tried to reassure you in a somewhat claiming tone. the undertone in his voice sounded a bit panicked but you tried to ignore it.

a vibration from your phone was felt in your pocket, making you tear your eager eyes away from the sky and to your phone. once your hand pulled it to your eyes' view you turned it on to see what the notification was from.

your eyes scanned over the words from the notification and you began to frown. "well," you heavily sighed out loud . "we won't make it to the airport because my flight just got canceled." you stated before sucking your teeth.

"wait really?" todoroki asked while glancing over at you with concerned eyes. "yeah," you nodded while pressing your lips into a thin line. "i guess we'll have to just stay at a hotel tonight."

the dual-haired boy nodded in agreement at your statement. "we could find a cheap room for tonight so we don't waste money," he added as he turned the steering wheel.

"good idea," you smiled with a quick nod, "i'll look for a hotel and tell you the directions." shoto nodded once more in agreement as he turned on the windshield wipers.

not long after you did find a cheap hotel room that didn't look cheap. as in it didn't look like a run-down building. so when you gave the directions to todoroki and he followed them neither of you expected to be in the parking lot of a love hotel.

"are you sure this is the place?" shoto asked you as his eyes narrowed at the bright pink neon heart in the front of the building. looking at your phone with an unsure look and back at the hotel you nodded slowly in confirmation.

"i guess so," you shrugged before reaching for your backpack. "come on let's go." you rushed as you got out of the car. 'what the hell why is she so quick?' shoto questioned internally before turning off the car and getting out.

"y/n slow down!" he called out as he jogged up t your side. it was still raining so you were in a rush to get inside.

glancing over to the boy you looked at his empty hands with a scrunched-up expression. "where's your stuff?" you asked.

the two of you walked through the entrance of the hotel shaking your arms to dry yourselves from the rain that was in you from outside. "i didn't bring anything because i'm not the one leaving," he reminded you.

"oh right," you nodded at the words that left his mouth. "i almost forgot that you weren't coming with me," you mumbled, an audible shift in your tone.

"do you want me to come with you?" he inquired with a hint of excitement in his tone. when he heard the dip in your voice his stomach flipped at the thought of you not wanting to be without him.

or was he just thinking too much about it? it's normal to wanna be with your friends, right? it's not like he likes you or anything...

"no, of course not!" you shook your head as your voice went up a few octaves. "you should stay here you know, pursue a career in baseball and stuff." you smiled awkwardly.

"oh yeah," the half and half-haired boy's face faltered. "let's go check in now," he mumbled under his breath as he swiftly walked past you and to the front desk.

slightly confused you followed close behind and made your way to the desk. you were greeted by a woman who looked like she was in her late twenties. she had beautiful straight black hair tied into a low ponytail.

a friendly smile on her lips as she greeted the two of you. "hi, welcome to primal veil love hotel!" she began. "i'm miko, if there's anything you need don't hesitate to let me know." she finished her mandatory greeting.

"now, what could i get for the two of you?" she asked while looking back and forth between the two of you waiting for an answer. "uh we need your cheapest 2-bed room." todoroki spoke up.

miko's face turned into a sour look as she sucked her teeth. "i'm sorry about that but we don't have any 2-bed rooms, all rooms only have 1 bed."

"that's fine," you interrupted before shoto could speak. "just your cheapest room then," you smiled. the ravenette returned your smile and turned to the wall behind her with room keys on them and grabbed one off of its hook.

you watched as she did so and didn't notice that todoroki was side-eyeing you, confused as to why you were okay with a 1-bed room.

"here you go," the woman smiled as she handed you the room key. "thank you," you spoke with a small nod. "the two do you have a wonderful night," she called as the two of you walked towards the elevator.

this was either going to be a long night or a very short one.
