4 years later, you were both 22 now. still living in france. though you were now living in paris. neither of you wanted to abandon your educations and chances at having good careers.
you officially met shoto's sister fuyumi and older brother natsuo a few months after you guys settled in. they came to visit and were nothing but kind to you.
you hadn't thought much about the day you guys left after the fact. but as you were both in the café sitting across from each other. preoccupied with your studies you glimpsed at your boyfriend. a smile graced your lips.
you couldn't imagine what it would've been like if that day you didn't run away. or you didn't attempt to break into his house.
the thought sent your mind in a spiral. you were so glad you did though. having started a new life in another country and with someone you loved by your side.
you must've stared for too long though. you were no longer staring at shoto focused on his laptop screen.
you were staring at him, staring back at you with a small grin adorned on his face. "why are you smiling so hard?" he teased you.
"no reason," you said. "just happy that we ran away together."
