They stretched out with a loud groan before cracking their neck, they looked over at me before standing up "Go home." This time they stayed put to make sure I left, I stood up with a sigh and looked up at them before finally leaving the woods and heading back home

—————––––––——————

It had been a couple days since my encounter with the stranger and I'd totally forgotten about my wet clothes, they were now mildewed and I groaned as I looked down at them covering my nose. I picked up the basket and made my way down the stairs to the bathroom, I pushed the bathroom door open with my foot and stepped inside dropping the basket beside the washer, I opened the washer lid and threw the clothes in before adding detergent and starting it

I sighed and stretched popping my back, I smiled and made my way to the kitchen to make myself some breakfast. I grabbed a bowl from the cabinet and set it down on the island, I walked to the fridge and grabbed out the milk then the Apple Jacks from on top of the fridge. I giggled to myself as I made my bowl of cereal, I was about to sit down until I realized I forgot a spoon, I smack my head and grabbed a spoon from the drawer before sitting down to eat my cereal

I was quietly eating my cereal, happy with how things had gone the past couple days. I'd finally gotten to spend some time with my friend Pam and my boss had been less aggressive when I talked to him. I hummed happily and finished my cereal, I drank the milk before standing up and putting it in the sink. I made my way to the living room and plopped down on my couch

I grabbed the remote off of the coffee table and turned the TV on, I leaned back and set the remote on the arm of the couch. I was so focused on the TV I didn't notice the masked stranger making their way towards me, so I was startled when tapped my shoulder. I jumped and nearly fell off the couch, I whipped my head around to see the familiar masked stranger leaning over my couch

I sighed heavily and held my hand to my chest "A warning would've been nice!" I glared at them, "Warning." They sounded amused and I simply groaned. I stood up and faced them "What're you doing here?" I crossed my arms and they stood up straight "I don't know, I was bored." They shrugged and looked around. I sighed again, I barely knew them and yet I could already tell they were a pain in the ass

They turned to me "So" they paused and leaned over my couch again "What's your deal?" They tilted their head, I glared at them again "My deal? You're the one who broke into my house." I snapped as I sat down, they shrugged again "Fair enough. What's your name?" They sat down on the arm of the couch, "Y/N, yours?" I brought my legs to my chest and they hesitated for a bit before answering "Just call me Masky." They turned to me "Strange name but ok." I laughed and smiled softly

They moved down onto the cushion and turned their body towards me leaning forward a bit "So tell me, what's your deal? Why do you want to die?" They sounded serious, the question made me tense up, I didn't know how to answer, I didn't want to tell them the real reason right now, I didn't know them well enough. I laughed nervously as I began to fidget

"You don't have to tell me I guess, I'm just curious, I've never come across anyone who's wanted to die." They leaned back against the arm and crossed their arms, I stopped fidgeting "Maybe I'll tell you some other time..." I smiled softly and they nodded. I turned to the TV to see they were once again talking about the missing teens, a question popped into my head and I turned to Masky, before I could ask anything they spoke up "I know what your gonna ask, and the answer is yes." With that we both turned to the TV

So obviously I was in the same room with a murderer, and a murderer who has killed a lot of people, yet for some reason won't kill me and is now speaking to me. That information only brought up more questions and I found myself staring at them. They sighed and turned to me "You ask me questions I get to ask you questions, and only one question a day." They sat up straight, "Deal." I nodded, at least I'd get answers

"You've already asked your question for today." Before I could object they continued "Do you live alone?" The question made me slightly uneasy but I responded honestly "Yeah." They nodded "Good." That response only added to my uneasy feeling, they leaned back again and kept their eyes on me, I looked at the TV trying to ignore my uneasy feeling and just enjoy myself

It wasn't until I heard them snoring softly that I took eyes off of the TV, I looked over at them and realized they'd fallen asleep, I smiled again and stood up, I walked over to their side and leaned over them a bit. They weren't actually all that scary and if they wanted to kill me they probably would have killed me in the woods

I finally got a better look at them and realized their clothes were indeed covered in blood, their hands were bandaged sloppily and the bandages were also very bloody, their jeans were not only covered in blood but also dirt and grass stains, their boots were also very bloody, their hair was a dark chestnut brown color and was extremely messy. It only made me even more curious about his face

I crouched down keeping my eyes on their strange mask, I suppose that's where the name came from, or maybe it was an alias or something? Even so, what was their real name? I hummed curiously before standing up again, they were a strange individual
