I put everything away and we got a cup of milk each, we also grabbed some cookies before making our way to the living room. We sat down together and put on a movie, the movie quickly became background noise as Tim and I talked and laughed. I realized Tim had been my first genuine friend, that realization made me happy, it made me feel good. I was happy I'd met Tim, and I didn't care anymore if he was a murderer or not, I just cared that I wasn't alone anymore

——————————————

I was laying on the floor in my living room, I'd woken up about an hour ago and had breakfast not too soon after and now had no clue what to do. I had the day off from work but Pam was busy with Jess, so I couldn't hang out with her. Tim didn't visit till somewhere later in the evening, so he wouldn't be coming around anytime soon. Which meant I was home for the day with nothing to do

I sighed heavily and looked over at the clock, it read 11:34. I groaned and sat up, I looked over at the TV that was showing the news. Yet another group of teens went missing in the forest, I scoffed and stood up. I didn't understand why people kept going into the forest, especially with all the disappearances. Then again I understood, the forest is absolutely beautiful. I walked to the kitchen and hopped up onto the island, facing my backdoor

My backdoor was a glass sliding one, so I got a good view of the woods from where I was. I didn't have a fence in my backyard which wasn't always a good thing, raccoons would get in from time to time. I sighed as I stared out at the forest, remembering the first time I met Tim. Before I met him I'd never imagined I'd become friends with a killer, I mean who would? I tilted my head to the side, I was thinking about maybe going back into the forest and drawing like last time

I hopped down from the counter and quickly made my way upstairs to my room. I opened my desk drawer and grabbed out some pencils and my sketchbook I bought the other day, I put everything in my shoulder bag. I rushed back downstairs and grabbed some bottles of water from the fridge so I could stay hydrated, then I grabbed some snacks and shoved them in my shoulder bag as well. I had to admit I was excited, before I met Tim I'd never gone near the forest, let alone inside, but now it's all I could think of doing

I grabbed a knife and put it in my bag, then I slid open my back door and closed it behind me, I made my way to the edge of the Forest's entrance and looked up. The trees stood as tall as ever, the forest still gave off a creepy aura but this time, it was almost inviting. I slowly slipped between the trees and made my way back to the spot where the stump sat. I sat down and pulled my shoulder bag off, setting it beside me. I looked around at the scene before me and smiled softly

I knew I was probably really stupid for coming out here, but I didn't really care. I had a knife with me in case anything went wrong, and I was pretty good at self-defense, so I could take care of myself. I pulled my sketchbook out with a pencil and opened the sketchbook, I looked out at the scenery again before pressing the pencil to the paper. I began to sketch my surroundings and added in a few forest creatures

I flipped the page and began to draw again. I began to draw a large creature that was a mix of a few different forest creatures. It had the head of a deer with giant antlers, the body was extremely furry and some of its skin was missing to reveal bones and some guts, the hands were extremely boney and had long claws, the legs were also very furry and the feet were paws, the fur was messy and some spots were missing to show bone

I flipped the page again and sighed heavily, I looked up from the sketchbook to see a deer eating some grass close to me. I decided to draw it and looked back up to see it watching me. I held my hand out and it got close enough to touch its nose to my hand. I smiled down at it as it looked up at me, I'd never been this close to a deer before so I was trying to stay calm and still as we stared at each other

A twig snapped close by spooking the deer, as the deer ran off I looked in the direction the noise came from. I opened my shoulder bag and gripped the knife just in case. I sat there waiting for another noise or for anything to come out. I slowly grabbed out the knife and stood up, I kept my guard up and never loosened my grip on the knife. I could hear some whispering in the distance and I narrowed my eyes in the direction it was coming from

I was angry that whoever it was ruined my moment with the deer. Finally a figure emerged from between the trees, the person wore goggles and a mouth guard, their clothes were stained with blood and in their hand was a hatchet they gripped tightly. After them a familiar figure emerged with their arms crossed. Beside them stood yet another figure, this one wore an orange hoodie and a strange mask with a large, red frowny face

"Why are you here? Again." Tim sounded a bit annoyed and extremely frustrated. I laughed nervously before pointing to my sketchbook "I just wanted to draw the scenery, sorry." He sighed and shook his head "Go home." I nodded and packed up my stuff before slinging my shoulder bag over across my shoulders. The other strange figures simply watched, looking from me to Tim and back to me

I stood up and looked back at the strangers, they were probably friends of Tim's, or maybe "partners in crime" I shook my head and headed towards the exit of the forest, I'd ask him about them later
