Sunset rain

The rain falls
Shimmering by moonlight
I sit staring
The sky moving like a river
The stars like pretty static
The sky stares back at me
Her gaze captivating me
Holding me tight
I've never wanted to join her so bad
Up in the endless rain
Every drop multiplying when it touches me
Creating its own river
Flowing through every crack
Sinking into everything it touches
Sometimes powerful enough
To bring things to new homes
At the bottom of the hill
Resides a scooter
The rain thought fit to move it there
Who am I to judge the rain?
The moon now stares at me
It's blemishes like scars on wrists
It's floating like a rope in the closet
My brain starts to walk
Down a lane named "memory"
It starts talking to a girl
Her name was Sarah
Me and her would talk
She loved her knife
She would draw pretty lines in her skin
A red paint would drip
Painting the carpet a dark red
Until one day she went to a new school
One that stoped her drawings
She decided that the school was bad
So she rode a rope to heaven
But she didn't go to heaven
Because they put her body in a oven
She resides in a bottle now
I miss her
Now I sit
Wondering if I will be put in a bottle
But that doesn't matter
I had another friend
His name was Derek
His dad was mean
He would drink happy juice
But it didn't make him happy
He would throw Derek down stairs
Then one day the blue boys came
Now his Derek has a new dad
His old one is in the human cage
Where they put the bad people
My old mom went there once
I would visit her
That place was scary though
A lot of mad people
It appears I'm at the end of the lane
I stand up and walk
Down the road
Disappearing into the rain
