Sunset frozen eyes

Her eyes
Like crystal balls
Staring at me
Like she's predicting my future
Maybe if I could reach her
But her mind is drifting
Ever floating down a stream
Of frozen waters
Every rain drop frozen
Every tear turned to ice
Breaking when it reaches the ground
When I walked over
I expected my blood to freeze
My heart to explode from frozen build up
If anything though my heart thawed
I was not nervous, anxious, nor tense
I was prepared to fight an ice giant
It was really my frozen heart that stopped me
I wasn't prepared to open up
To gain trust you have to give trust
I trusted her frozen eyes
Now me and her on her raft
Heading toward unknown waters
Following the the calls of the morning wind
Where will we show our faces?
Only time will tell
The frozen and frigid air will never pierce me
Her frozen eyes will protect me
As long as I stare into them
A stormy sky may strike me dead
Drowning in a sea of vast loneliness
Will never touch me
I think it may be time to hear this
As I sit hear on this raft
I wanted them in the most unromantic ways
Now I might want her
like a rose wants her petals
The way ice needs the cold
The way the water needs more of itself
Like ice melts in the sun
I was melting in loneliness
Alone with her for to long
The fired quenched to smoke
The lightbulb shattered
Maybe we can fix this
Maybe we will drown
