Luffy loved his sister, you could even argue that he loved her more than even food. She was the most important person in his world because she was always there since the very beginning.
Hurting for the sake of others never bothered Luffy. But the way Runa was screaming and crying while he was being beaten up by a globe that would draw blood despite his rubber body— it hurt him.
He wanted to tell Runa that everything is okay but he can't speak. Dreams are worth it, everyone has their own secrets, loyalty is important.
Sometimes, Luffy wondered if all these were worth it when it came at a cost of his sisters pain? His pain never really mattered, his sister was the one who did all the worrying for both of them. While Luffy did all the socialising for the two of them.
“STOP! THAT'S ENOUGH!" And then Ace and Sabo came to their rescue and Luffy felt love again.
He knew the thing that made him love Runa most was because she understood and shared the same sentiment as him. From the look of completely relief and lack of any form of anmoscity on her face, she was glad they came to their rescue as much as Luffy was.
a/n: so, the sequel to this book is already wip. it'll be called ⟨ Bon Voyage! ⟩ and it features the strawhat journey after runs officially joins the crew. meaning, this book is estimated to be completed in about 40-50 chapters from now.
