"Please, he's just a child," The mayor pleaded, on his knees. "How much do you want, I'll pay you to let him go."
"Let me go!" Luffy struggled. "I'm going to beat you up! You hurt Runa!"
"LUFFY!" Runa screamed from a distant, there was something flying over from her direction. Luffy watched with wide eyes when a pebble hit the man directly on his hand, making the grip loosen and allowing Luffy to drop on the ground.
"Shit! That little brat again!" Higuma cursed. His feet landed on Luffy's back, burying him deep into the soil. "Don't think you're getting away from me, little brat."
"I was wondering why no one was there to greet us at the bar," A cold voice called out. "Add on to the fact there was a trail of blood leading here."
Luffy looked up, it was Shanks!
"Shanks!" Luffy sobbed.
"Doctor, check on our little princess," Shanks said teasingly. Runa huffed, "You're late."
Shanks grinned, "The hero always arrives last, Runa. Even if that hero is a pirate."
