Gabriel's pov

The walk back was agonizingly silent. No one said a word to me as we walked back to the motel. All eyes were on me however as everyone staid at least 6 feet from me, if not more. Kenny, Katjaa and Duck stayed furthest from me and even tried their best to look away from me. Larry was carrying Lee as he was still passed out but he'll be awake soon.

I shot Mark in the head before we left, he was dead so I gave him Mercy.

Lilly tried to make an effort to speak to me but when I turned to face her my face was covered in blood, she walked away without saying a word. Clementine was the only one to stay by my side and hold my left hand, even though I encouraged her to stay by Lee she refused. Larry was quiet for the first time in a long time which was also surprising.

The walk was long, quiet and Ridiculously filled with Dread. Everyone was shocked at just happened but the main reason why they were all disappointed still stood.

There wasn't much to go back to. No food, no warmth, no coziness...nothing.

We were building something before, we would have nights where'd we sit by a fire and share stories, I'd sing and maybe tell jokes I'd steal from comedians, we'd all make some food and just enjoy the quiet of the night.

However though as the nights went on there would more gunfire, more screams, and more troubling things happening the more the days went on. Soon we had to have someone watch for any trouble 24/7 of the day which didn't leave much time for relaxation. And now with this event shaking us all to the core I have a feeling that the time to share our humanity is over. Now we're not waiting for anyone to help us, no government, no groups, no individuals. We are now going to help ourselves. We are survivors. Which is why my next decision was made as a survivor.

We came up to a deserted Car, open doors, lights on, filled to the brim.

"Holy shit, look at all this stuff." Kenny said as he popped the trunk and looked at all the things inside food, water, vegetables. Everything we would need for a few weeks to survive. Even a little hoody for Clementine.

"We don't know if these people are dead."

"If we take this then we're just monsters who came and ruined their lives." Lilly argued.

"This stuff could save all of us."

"Not all of us." I finished while putting my hands behind my back. Everyone gave me a glance before Kenny grumbled.

"This stuff isn't ours." Clementine said.

"Dad who's car is this?"

"Don't worry about it, it's ours now."

"Don't worry ducky, it's abandoned."

"What if it isn't?" Clementine interrupted again. "What if it's not abandoned? What if it is someone's?"

As I've said before most of the humanity is gone, we have to think of Survival. I said before that I made this next decision thinking about survival but if I'm honest I wish I hadn't.

"We have to take this Clem, I'm sorry but we're not gonna wait for someone to come and take this back. We need it." No one argued with me, no one said a word. Everyone just picked up some things and after Lee finally woke up and Carley gave him some batteries.

It's getting harder to act like a machine, it's harder to not feel, to not...care. Right now I'm questioning myself. The burning feeling of rage from when Clementine was threatened makes me think so but I'm not sure.

These feelings were amplified when I saw that video of the woman recording us. I felt hate, fury, unblinking rage and fear. The bandits were focused on the farm and now that they weren't.........
