chapter 4

Saturday afternoon:

Ray's pov:

I was walking down to the library that was a few blocks away from my house,

as I was walking there, I saw someone familiar,

"you stay here, we and your father will go inside our friends shop." he old lady said to the blonde hair girl.

The married couple soon walked into the shop, the girl with blonde hair soon turned around and I immediately remember who she was.

'isn't that Anna?' I thought to myself.

Anna looked up and saw me she flinched and yelled,

"ray!?" Anna said shouting.

"hey don't yell, your in the middle of the city!" I scolded at him
"sorry." Anna replied.

She didn't look happy or shock to see me, the only emotion she shown was disappointment.

I realized why Anna was disappointed, because of her parents, the way she was treated upset her.

I asked If she wanted to go to the library that was a few blocks away,
I can tell she needs to get her mind off it.

Her eyes glimmered in excitement, I figured she also loved books.

"what are you waiting for let's go!" she grabbed my hand and ran straight then stopped.

"wait.. Where is it?" she said confused, I just chuckled.

Anna's pov:

Ray's chuckle was soft and deep, his smile is cute too...

Wait what am I thinking about- he's not my type at all! Right?- Ugh never mind.

Ray grabbed my hand too and pulled me to the library that was huge.

"woahh..." I mumbled as I saw the library.

"hey Anna?" ray suddenly said.

"hm?" I turned around.

"may I ask why you love books?" ray asked.

"well, there's a lot of fantasy in them and adventure, it's nice to read something on a cold bright day, and I also love them because reading a book remind me of when my grandma use to read for me." I answered his question.

"oh, well I guess you love fantasy books, I can show you where that side is." he said

then pulling me to the bookshelfs,  full of fantasy stories,

I glimmered in excitement, I ran in to pick a book,

Ray looked at me like I was a child running around a toy store, instead it's full of books.

Ray came to me and tapped my shoulder, I turned around without thinking and hugged him tightly.

It's quite embarrassing that he's quite taller then me, my height was below he's shoulder.

My head was in his chest, he felt warm and cozy, his scent was like the fun flowers in the forest I use to go to, to play my instruments.

When I realized what I was doing I immediately let go.

He just pat my head and just laughed a lot and said "your welcome."

After a few minutes,

Ray's pov:

Me and Anna were sitting next to each other on the floor, it was the evening and Anna's parents still haven't returned.

I was still reading until I noticed Anna asleep on my shoulder.
