In a nanosecond, the Fire Fey were screaming out war cries. With these few words, all hell had broken loose in the Fey Town Hall.
The Light, Dark, and Mel's fellow Forest Fey were attacking the Fire Fey, while Water Fey and the legend Ice Fairy, Icy, hung back and ran out, cowering. A rogue Fire Fey had lit the building on fire, so shrieks of fear started to rise higher and higher until Mel felt her ears were about to bleed.
Mel ran out of the chaos, slamming into a Dark Fairy and landing on her knees. With a sharp intake of breath of what she saw when she glanced her knees, she took off flying to the Beyond, where the Volcanoes laid.
The only way around the land of. Volcanoes was over one. Unless you flew over one, you could not enter the Realm.
I just hope I don't regret this.... Mel thought as she flew over Mount Ficherro, which was the most frequent to erupt. She landed on the other side of the volcano and heaved a great sigh.
She heard voices by the edge of the hole where the lava flew out. It was Icy, the legend. And a Fire Fairy was touching her!!!
Mel watched as the Fire Fairy carried Icy up to where she was sitting, and she eyed burn marks on Icy. She felt defensive as the Fire Fairy flew away. She also felt something else, something that made her feel even more angry.
"Are you alright?" She asked Icy tentatively, afraid she might shatter into a million pieces.
She smiles a little, but it is tucked away and she sarcastically states, "Never better."
Mel worried, but it wasn't her business to pry open and inspect. She would let it go and tend to the matter at hand.
"What do we do? If we go back, we will be handed weapons and be forced to fight."
Icy stared longingly at her home, and Mel sensed a great tether being snapped.
"So we fly."
