Yuxin's POV

"Run faster! This is the most important two minutes of your life!" Y/N yelled after Keran.

I watched them with my brows furrowed in confusion. Yu Yan then snatched the megaphone and continued to yell at Keran until she disappeared into the crowd. What's going on with them? I looked at Y/N who's breathing deeply, most likely from running. I watched as she let out a huff before sitting on the other side of the bench.

Blue hair falling over her face as she rested her elbows on her knees. I didn't even realize that I was staring until she turned to me, eyes confused and questioning. My face grew hot with embarrassment but I gave her a small smile. It only widened as her cheeks turned pink and she turned away.

I hesitated for a few seconds if I should move to sit beside her or not. She seemed fine with it earlier. What could be so different now, right? I know we really need to fix whatever happened between us. It's not something that could just be hidden under the rug.

"Weirdoes." Yu Yan grumbled and sat between Y/N and I before I could even move.

My eyes narrowed on the side of her head, but she just waved it off with an eye roll as she fixed her clothes and hair. I pursed my lips as I held back the urge to tell her off. Instead, I crossed my arms and let out a huff as I leaned on the back of the bench.

Every once in a while, I would take glances at Y/N. I wanted so badly to talk to her. I need to. I miss freely talking to her about anything and everything. And it's hard since she's been avoiding me for the past days. I know that she might be feeling awkward due to the fact that I kissed her so sudden. But I can't lie and say that I regret doing that. I couldn't. I enjoyed kissing her.

"Wo zhenme zenme hao kan." I glanced at Yu Yan as she quietly sang and nudged Y/N, who spared her a glance before face palming and turning away.

"Yah! What's that supposed to mean?" Yu Yan huffed and nudged her again.
"I don't know... Don't you think that's a bit... horrible?" Y/N mumbled.
"Tsk!"

"Anyway. Is it true?" Xiaotang spoke up.
"Is what, true?" Yu Yan asked back.
"That Lin Fan's going back with her ex?" Xiaotang answered and sat on the grass in front of us.

"Oh. No, it wasn't. We just wanted her to run." Y/N nonchalantly said and leaned back.

I couldn't help but grin at her at that, even though she isn't looking at me. She definitely coped with what happened with her family, well. At least better than I did with mine. I'm glad that I at least helped her through it. Even though my method wasn't really the best.

Now I just need to find the time to finally talk to her without any interruptions from anyone. In such a short time of two months, I've really grown so close with her and I value our relationship. It's not like I'm forcing her to get together with me or anything. If she wants just friends, then I'd rather have that rather than nothing at all.

"It was a mistake to sit here, wasn't it?" Yu Yan said, breaking me out of my self-absorbed thoughts.
"No shit. Ever wondered why I'm sitting down here?" Xiaotang answered her.

"Why did I even think that it'll be fine?" Yu Yan let out a huff and moved to sit next to Xiaotang instead.

Now only Y/N and I are sitting in this one and a half long, bench. It's quite unnerving how the other two are just sitting in front of us like they're about to witness some interesting scene. Yu Yan rose a brow at me and subtly gestured to Y/N, signing me to do something.

I turned to Y/N only to see her busy on her phone. Her brows are slightly meeting together as she typed. Lips mouthing the words she must be typing out. I could only faintly make out words like idiot and lost. The rest of us remained silent, just watching her and waiting for her to finish.
