Y/N's POV
"Y/N, let's go! You're late again!"
"Stop nagging me. And for the record, I'm not late." I huffed as I slipped my shoes and coat on.
Yiyun has been nagging me to hurry up ever since she woke me up. Who knows what she's so excited for. But let's just say that I don't appreciate her excitement as much. If not, it only made me feel annoyed and irritated. It's so early and starting it with being nagged isn't really ideal.
"Why are you even so damn excited?" I grumbled as the two of us went out the door.
"Language!" She scolded and even had the audacity to whack my head, making me slap her hand away."You're getting on my nerves!" I snapped and glared ay her.
"Ei, enough of that. Being cranky isn't gonna do you any good, meimei. How are you even gonna find a girlfriend if you're too mean, hmm?"
My eyes narrowed at her condescending tone as she cooed and patted my head. I rolled my eyes and just walked pass her to go to the car. I'm not really in the mood for this. I'm sleep deprived with a lot of things to do. There's nothing I want more than to sleep.
"That's rich coming from you. You don't even have a boyfriend, much less a girlfriend." I grumbled.
"Hey! Need it be said that a lot of people wants to date me. It's just not a priority and I'm busy." She reasoned as she unlocked the car.
"Sure. Go tell yourself that, Yiyun." I mumbled as I went inside.I didn't bother saying anything else as I rested my head on the window and closed my eyes. I heard her let out an annoyed groan as she went to the driver's seat and started the car. I let out a sigh as the car heated up. It's still so cold these days. It's definitely not as cold as last December, but still cold that it's hard to get up in the morning.
"So... Your friend, Liu Yuxin." Yiyun started. At that, I opened my eyes and looked at her, giving her my full attention for what she has to say.
"Now I know what to say whenever I need your full attention." She said and smirked.
"Shut up. What about her? Did she take it?" I asked with a huff.I crossed my arms and sat up right. I know Yuxin would want that opportunity and I want to help her in the ways I can. The only problem is that she hesitates too much. She's afraid of taking risks. Heck, she didn't even want to tell her mom that she wants to be an idol.
"Hey. Stop smiling like a psycho and tell me!" I demanded as Yiyun remained quiet. Grinning widely as she focused on the road.
"Sorry. It's just surprising how attentive you are." She said and ended with a laugh.I could feel my cheeks growing hot with embarrassment that came with realization. Was I really being too attentive that it's becoming nosiness before anything. But I really wanted to know what Yuxin's reaction was. Was she happy? Excited? Just what?
We didn't really talk yesterday. Frankly, I haven't seen any of them since I couldn't find them and the Class B girls kept tagging me along with them. And I couldn't really say no and declined because I can't find my own friends.
"But if you must know, I think she was pretty excited and surprised. She's really hard to read through. Though at first she almost declined cause you know, my company's in the states. But I told her we have a branch in Beijing too. Told her to think about it, and she took the card."
That placed a small grin on my face as I turned to look out of the window again. That's great. She really changed a lot, huh? Or maybe she didn't change. She just grew brave enough to show everyone how she really is. It's warming to think that I might have been a part of that. But that's too self-centered, isn't it?
