I sat in my bed reading (favourite book) whilst waiting for my husband, Rantaro, to arrive home from work.

To be honest I've been completely worried about him lately as he has been overworking himself lately.

I've asked him to take a day off as it's not healthy but he insists on working, for me and for his future child.

I looked at the clock next to our bed,

23:45 (11:45pm for those who don't know 24hour time),

is what the clocked said,

I sighed

"He should be home soon,"

I placed the book I had in my hands down and grabbed a children's catalogue of the nearby desk.

I flipped through some pages finding some cute things for our future baby, I'm 8 months pregnant so it shouldn't be too long.

Amami had been so worried about me lately, I can't do anything without him being concerned for me and the baby.

No wonder I married him

I closed the catalogue and felt a sudden wave of tiredness crash over me,

I put the catalogue away as well as all the other books I had out and began to lie down in the bed, I grabbed the tv remote and turned the tv on. I feel in the mood for some horror.

After a couple of minutes of scrolling through a couple of movies I decided to instead watch a gameplay of resident evil 7.

After a couple of minutes the door to our bedroom opened to only reveal my lovely husband, slowly creeping into the room in case I was asleep.

He's really the sweetest guy I've ever met

After he realised I was awake he began to sit on the bed,

"I'm home honey, how was your day?" he spoke with a sense of distress in his voice,

"It's been fine thanks, but what's wrong baby?" I said softly,

His over-worked eyes looked into mine, 

Before I could respond to his sad look he shuffled closer to me and started rubbing my stomach, 

"I can't believe we'll be a family soon," he said whilst intertwining his hand with mine,

"I can't believe it either," I said as I caressed his right cheek "Baby please tell me what's wrong,"

I looked at him with soft eyes, I couldn't stand to see him like this,

He traced the hand that I placed on cheek with his finger and nuzzled into it gently,

"Honey is doesn't matter," he sighed

"Yes it does, you're over-worked aren't you?"

He looked at me with sad eyes as he nodded slowly.

I pulled him into me chest and began to kiss his forehead,

"I thought we talked about this baby," I spoke softly as I ran my fingers through his head,

"I know honey, I know" 

He got up from my chest and sat down next to me, barely being able to keep his eyes open

I rubbed my hand against his whilst looking at his green eyes.

As a result of this he place his hand on top of mine whilst saying,

"Y/n honey, I really love you, you know that right?"

I smiled gently before replying,

"Of course I do, I love you too Rantaro,"

He gave me a weak smile before leaning in towards me and closing the gap between us, I felt his free arm snake around my waist and kept the other one on my hand. I melted into the kiss, my free hand made it's way to his chest. 

After a while we broke the kiss but stayed in our positions, I began to trace my had around his chest whilst leaning my head on his shoulder,

"Would you like me to sing you asleep?" I said whilst looking up to him,

He only nodded in return,

I moved away from his chest and let him get comfortable on the bed before returning to our original position.

"Can you sing our song?" he said sleepily as he rubbed his hand on my back,

"of course,"

I took a deep breathe before beginning the song,
