THE DAY WHERE TWO SOULS MEET 🌹

CALLISTAS POV:

he next day came by quickly and I went with with jennet not let me rephrase that jennet dragged me to the hamam where the floors were so slippery I almost broke my neck if it weren't for the other hamam girls saving me so anyways now the other girls are forcing me to let them clean me and i started disagreeing but one warning hit from jennets black belt I immediately agreed to sit down and let the girls wash me , I admit it's a little bit nice people doing your work for you but I don't want this I want to go he and play with my sister I want to be the same free girl who could sleep eat or do anything at her own Accord not by following every rule and even asking permission to eat , jennet was saying something but I ignored her until she said safiye sultans name that's when I interrupted her and asked : " Queen Sofia! " Jennet then got annoyed and said : " Hatun not Queen Sofia safiye sultan !" But I didn't listen to what she was saying I have heard that Queen Sofia is a very beautiful woman and she's also from the same Greek island as me . Once I was cleaned jennet took me to another room and gave me new clothes to wear it was a pretty beautiful light blue and greenish coloured gown , once I was done she got my hair also nicely done after that we were supposed to go to safiye
sultans room because she asked for me on the way there jennet kept saying the rules and telling me that If sultana asks for my name I say Khadija and not callista because I am a new woman or something like that of course I wasn't going to say that no matter what I will say my real name , again lost in my own thoughts and didn't listen to jennet telling me to say Khadija so when she didn't get a response she grabbed ear and I yelped and said : " aaah Khadija Khadija" once we got towards her room there were a lot of servants there with a tray in their hands , then bulbul agha came and checked if every one was there I carefully listened to the door and opened it and out came a cat to which everyone bowed to I couldn't help but let a soft laugh escape my lips jennet forcefully bowed me down and then a few minutes later bulbul agha announce that the sultana is awake everyone went to her room one by one when I was about to enter jennet pulled pe back whisper shouting : "don't be stupid Khadija , do you want to get your head cut off when the sultana is ready and then allows us to go in her room , then we walk stupid girl!" Then she started muttering things like "is mental" "doesn't know how to act "  " has beauty but no brains" " why me Allah" " I manered girl" you get the point anyways a few minutes later bulbul agha came outside and told us we are allowed to go in when we got in i did as jennet ordered and bowed i could see in the corner of my eye being proud , anyways i then heard the sultana say softly yet commandingly : " look up hatun" when i looked up i was with with a strict yet one of the most beautiful woman's face she was dressed head to toe in magnificent jewelry she stood up indicating that i kiss her her which i did and then she sat back down and asked : " what is your name hatun ?" Before anyone could answer i quickly went on my knees and to the sultanas feet saying: " Callista sultana , Sultana please let me go sultana I'm just a mere girl sultans please just set me free " , quickly bulbul agha rushed and started shouting : " How dare you hatun ! Going to the sultanas feet like that do you have any manners_ " before bulbul could continue safiye sultana signalized from her hand for him to stop which he immediately did after that sultana took my chin in her hands and started examining me and the said in a low and soft tone : " you truly are one of the rare beauty's , dont be afraid callista I won't hurt you  in this harem you have do a lot more to survive if you stay here you can be as powerful as me one day but if you don't use your brain and beauty you'd be nothing in the sultans eye , jennet what new name did you give this beautiful girl ? " To which jennet replied : " Khadija sultana" , safiye sultan softly tutted at that saying : " this girl's beauty is something else she has her roots in the depths of this zamin (floor) it will be a sin if we gave her an ordinary name as Khadija , from now on callista you are Mahpeykar " , by now i was on the verge of crying so i said : " but I don't want to be Mahpeykar sultana i just want to be Calissta please" , at the moment I think safiye sultan felt bad for me so she softly caressed my face and hair like a mother would and said : " Callista , a woman plays a lot of roles in her life from being a daughter to a wife to a partner to a mother to a grandmother , but what she doesn't change is her personality , so what i mean is if you are callista , Khadija or Mahpeykar it doesn't matter because in your heart you will always be the innocent callista understand" i nodded my head as a sign to say yes she softly kissed my forehead which shocked me and a lot of other   servants because queens don't do that to maids anyways after that i stood up and safiye Sultan ordered to jennet kalfa : " jennet right now she is not ready to meet the Sultan when she will be take her to Sultan Ahmed but for now give her a separate favourite room and let her rest" "yes sultana" jennet bowed to her me doing the same than we went down to go to my new room on the way jennet saying : " safiye sultan really seems to like you and is patient with you , you are also lucky because if i were her i don't know what I'd do with a tongue like your's _" her rant was cut short when a older looking kalfa came and jennet bowed to her then the kalfa looked at me then jennet saying ": " Jennet hatun who is this young lady? , Jennet hatun replied : " Dudu kalfa she's actually new in the harem and sultan Ahmed specially got her , so valide safiye sultana ordered to take her to the chiefs room " , it looked like dudu hatun could kill jennet so she replied : " there's only one valida sultan and that is handan sultan and this girl has not been in seclusion with the sultan so she will sleep like the other girls in the harem take her there now" , jennet reluctantly took me to the harem and there were a lot of girls who were looking at me curiously and jealously i don't know why i don't even want be with the sultan i just want to go home  , anyways jennet hatun announced in a loud and clear voice that : " This is Mahpeykar hatun she was brought specially by Sultan Ahmed so treat her right or the sultan will have your head's off" after that she left and all the girls looked at me with jealousy and hatred and then started whispering about me only one girl was nice and showed me where to sit and all the harem rules i politely thanked her and she said : " what's your I'm pretty sure it would be something unique seeing that your very beautiful" , i blushed at her words and said : " thank you very much you're the only one who can understand me and my name is actually callista not Mahpeykar and what is your name you're also very beautiful " to which she also blushed and replied : thank you my name is Maria it's nice to meet you callista and your name suits you very well" just as i was about to reply jennet hatun came in and told us it was bed time maria and i didn't have our  mattresses with each other so she was not with me their were some other girls who were with me when we were all done changing in our nightgowns suddenly a lot of the girls surrounded by mattress and started a story of the sultan saying : " callista doy even know what the sultan looks like ?" The girl named shaista asked me fearfully i replied confusedly : " No why?,  Then her and the other girls gasped saying in almost a whisper: " the sultan id not what everyone thinks he's fat and old , he's so fat that they had to make him a new throne because he broke his last one by sitting on it " this got me very scared and if that's not enough another named Mahfiruze continued ": " you do remember that one hatun who went to the seclusion and was never found ?" That's it I'm gonna die so i looked at shahista and asked : " so none of the girls came back out alive "? To which shahista looked around and carefully whispered : " there was one girl who did came out alive , she said that it was hard to survive but she did it but she is dead now , because no one's suppose to come back out alive out of the sultans room!" , I then impatiently and fearfully asked shahista then replied : " oh yes all you have to do is not look at him is the eyes and stand like a Statue so he will get bored of you and send you home or way better bite his arm and run away "  right after that Jennet hatun shouted: " GO TO BED WHY ARE YOU GIRLS STILL AWAKE GO !"  all the girls went to bed quickly and i just stayed up looking at the ceiling and thinking about the sultan who eats hearts of the young girl's . The next day all of us woke up and jennet hatun got me quickly changed and took me with her to give Safiye sultan her cat Elizabeth , jennet was holding elizabeth and told me that the cat was way valuable that all of Safiye sultans servents she then stopped abruptly which also made me stop she was looking at something or Rather someone , when i followed her gaze i saw a servant man signaling jennet to come she handed me the cat and told me to stay where i am and she will meet me later and then walked towards the man.

Third person pov :

After jennet gave Elizabeth to callista , she went and followed jennet hatun and saw , jennet and the man doing "IT" , callista quickly hid behind the wall and decided to let jennet do whatever she wants to do callista quickly walked back and admired Elizabeth she truly was a beautiful cat then abruptly Elizabeth jumped out of Callistas arms and ran away callista panicked quickly ran after the cat whisper shouting things like "Elizabeth" "kitty" where are you then callie heard another meow she then looked up to a wall and saw a small window there callista tried to climb but accidentally stepped on a wrong brick and turns out its a secret passageway " finally freedom" callista thought , she started going in completely forgetting about elizabeth , meanwhile jennet got done with her "business" she looked around for callista but she was nowhere to be seen , callista tried all of the doors but none of them would open but then she saw a door slightly ajar and smiled victoriously but when she opened the door she was met with a beautiful sight it was some type of secret garden with all types of Lillie's rose and her favourite  Jasmine's she quickly sniffed all of them and happily looked around ,

She then went towards the railing and saw the lake's water splashing and all the waves being dangerously hight she then saw a branch covered with all types of flowers , callista then took a hold of the branch checking if it's worth climbing for she then asked to herself: " is this strong enough okay come on callista you can do it !" , Callista then took every step cautiously trying not to fall and see if she could get out of that small open window just the Sultan Ahmed came to his safe place only to see a girl with long chestnut hair climbing up the branches he got slightly annoyed seeing that he was not in a good mood and just wanted to be alone when he saw the girl taking another step , he knew she was going to fall so he said loudly : " careful that's a long step !" Hearing this callista got startled and lost her balance she then yelped and waited for the hard ground to basically break her bones but ahmed swiftly caught her but couldn't hold both of their weights so he fell on top of the girl slightly out of breath , when he regained his breath and looked at the girl he was paralyzed this was the same girl that he had been almost worshipping for months and now she was infront of him any type of annoyance was now replaced with pure and utter shock when callista opened her eyes and saw a young man just a year or two older than looking down at her mesmerized , and indeed ahmed was looking at her mesmerized and now the shock had turned into happiness he felt like this when the first time he Saw her portrait and she instantly bought light to him now he feels like she bought a whole moon with her , callista was looking at the stranger with wife surprised and a Little fearful eyes ,now that ahmed was able to look at her features correctly he knew that the portrait didn't do justice towards her because she was way beautiful than her portrait if that was even possible her wide emerald green and mercury mixed eyes looking up at him just wanted to made him weak in his knees right then and there oh and her chestnut hair shining in the sunlight almost blinded him he then asked i a whisper that if he couldn't hear : " what are you doing here?" , Not even admitting to herself callista was also mesmerized by his golden and brown eyes but she didn't show she pushed him off her forcefully and stood up dusted herself and asked : " who are you" oh even her voice made ahmed want to get on his knees and worship her , seeing that he wasn't replied and only looking at her in wonder she continued " are you going to tell them?" , Knowing she's talking to him he couldn't even tell anyone his own name so he couldn't register anyone else he again quietly asked :   "Who?" To which callista replies : " that Jennet and other odalisques are you going to tell them ?" He only lets out a small : "no"
