A planned element to the movement of all the attendants is meticulously put in place. It's just the way Charles has always liked it. I've never inquired how precisely they are compensated for moving in such a rigid manner.

I once was put in the same situation but it's out of fear. I'm sure they have gone through such an extensive training to have this kind of precise movement.

They might potentially lose their lives if they make a single mistake. I look at these women who are younger than I am, wearing their well-pressed uniforms move as quickly as the clock turns.
The smart contact lens only tells me their name and nothing more.

They sat me down on a comfy chair, prepping me for dinner. One attendant was tasked to clean and paint all my nails including my toes while another dries my hair straight.

It's quiet.

Awfully quiet. I have tried making conversation before but it looks like they were told to keep silent and only speak the words being related to me. There was a distinct awkwardness between their gazes.

It's a clear message that things did change since the last time.  I stopped trying after a few minutes on trying to get information on Anthony's whereabouts.

I was given food in a small tray that comes with some green liquid in a cup that's perfectly curated, looking very edible. I held the fork and knife and in one blink of my eye, right away information about the food pops in indicating the type of diet and calories it has.

I look at the last attendant standing just a few feet away from me.

I read her name on the hologram screen, it says, Beverly. Her posture was perfectly still and obediently waiting for the tray to be taken away.
