Chapter 11

"Alexa dear can you set the table please?" Molly asked frantically rushing to get Christmas dinner ready 

"Sure" I answered waving my hand letting the table set it self

"Alexa" Dad scolded not missing the gesture

"What we're not home" I smiled

"Now that I have you what was it you whispered with Sirius about earlier?" Dad asked having spotted us whispering in the hall way earlier in the day 

"Nothing" I lied knowing he would hate what I wanted to do Molly even more

"Spit it out" Molly scolded catching the lie in my voice most likely

"Remember when I accidentally kept trapping gnomes in bottles?" I asked 

"You were terrified of them you haven't done it since you were 8" Dad pointed out

"My point is my powers got out of control when I was scared I think I might have trapped someones soul in the bottle I was holding and in order to find out who I need to get into Harry's memories of that night" I rushed the last bit out knowing they would hate it

"No he is just a child he does not need to relive it" Molly raised her voice 

"I can make him forget it ever happened but we know it's not you know who so it can only be one of 3 people you can't tell me it's not worth it in the end getting just one of them back" I tried to reason hearing footsteps outside the kitchen looking out spotting the extendable ear making it disappear so they couldn't hear the conversation 

"She's right Moony I'm not to keen on it either but it could make a difference in the end you have to see that" Sirius entered the room also trying to reason having been the first to hear about the potential of the soul getting trapped in the bottle that was still in the place where he had found me hidden that night

"Promise you'll make him forget you did it" Molly said seeing the reason for it they would either have another Mega-witch on their side or Harry would get one of his parents back

"He'll think he just went to bed early he'll know no more then he does at this moment I'll wait till after dinner"

After dinner I had gone to the empty room with the Black family tree trying to tap into my own memory of the night deep down hoping I wouldn't need Harry's help after all

"You were there that night weren't you when my parents died" Harry asked entering the room finding me sitting cross legged on the floor in the middle of the room my back to the door

"I was" I answered quietly 

"Why haven't you said anything?" He asked sitting down in front of me

"Didn't think you needed to know" I shrugged 

"I want to know I want to know what happened that night" He said unsure if his pleading would work jumping a little when the door closed of it's own accord to him at least I had closed it 

"Take my hands and don't let go it will break the connection got it?" I asked holding out my hands 

"Don't let go" He whispered more to himself as he grabbed me hands immediately going back to the house where we both were when it happened

"It's been pieced together from what we both have seen even if it's hidden deep in our heads we can move around and talk to each other but this is nothing but a memory" I told him leaving his side

"Like a pensieve" Harry commented walking to his mother who was holding him his dad entering the room

"Somewhat that's me and that's my mom this is just before be ready to go upstairs and remember don't let go it's not going to be pleasant" I told him making my way up the stairs alongside her mother

"He's coming we don't have long" Mom yelled picking up Alexa carrying her to the crawlspace where I was hidden

"You can't tell anyone about your powers okay baby? Not before you absolutely have to. I love you Alexa" And with that she closed the door to the small crawl space and ran to hold off Voldemort 

"James go" Mom yelled getting in front of James letting him get up the stairs 

"Why can't we go out there?" Harry asked unable to leave his nursery

"Because we don't know what happened out there other then what we heard we can't leave the room because we were both in here this is all we remember I can't tap into their memories like I can yours we can only see now what we remember" I told him following something with my eyes

"What's that?" He asked seeing the little orb floating into the crawlspace

"An orb of light" I lied telling him the truth wasn't an option right now I had lured him in on the pretence that I would show him what happened that night when I had really done it so I would be sure if I had accidentally trapped someone's soul in my bottle 

"I remember this part" He told her not expecting me to pull us out 

"We're floating" He commented looking down seeing us floating above the floor

"Just stretch your legs and you'll land on your feet" Sirius told him my right behind him having entered the room while we were in the memory Harry followed my lead landing safely on the floor

"Why didn't either of you tell me that she was there?" Harry asked the two men my now supporting my tired form

"For both of your protection" My told him

"You should go to bed you look exhausted" Sirius said patting his shoulder receiving a nod in return

"Harry" I piped up standing on my own again

"Yeah?"

"I'm really sorry about this" I told him holding onto him running a hand over his face making him fall into a deep sleep removing the memory of what just happened putting it in the vial that my dad had ready making sure that he ended up in his bed 

"I was right I did trap someone"

"Who?"

"What would happen if I was hit with a killing curse?"

"You would be momentary incapacitated but it would ultimately do nothing" 

"So if I in my fear accidentally trapped mum's soul it would have to be in that split second she would properly have pretended to be dead so she could get upstairs again I'm the reason she couldn't do that" 

"No you we're 7 it wasn't your fault you could barely control your powers back then" My dad was quick to put the idea down knowing I wouldn't stop blaming myself if he didn't

"I have to go" I whispered disappearing
