Kara went away when she knew Saw Skywalker was a former Sith Lord and Darth Krayt's personal apprentice and enforcer before Darth Sor. She was still affected by what she had seen before his final Jedi trial. Lejj Kestis noticed that and confronted her.
Lejj says to her - This isn't about my master's past as a Sith. Your thoughts dwell on your father -
Kara responds -He is dead to me. I've felt it. My father have turned to the Dark Side. - Kara tried to deny any attachment by saying - The man he was is no more-
Lejj responds - If you're giving him for a loss, then he is lost - Kara asks - What do you mean? -
Lejj then mentions what she knew of Saw's past - As you may know, Saw Skywalker is the son of the Grandmaster Jedi Rey Skywalker and Imperial Knight-Commander Finn Gerrera -

Lejj kept saying. - My master spent at least some of his childhood at the New Jedi Temple on Ahch-To, where he explored the secrets of its foundations of the First Jedi Temple and even went to the Dark Side cave. Saw believed that his mother was unaware of this, despite the fact that he and some friends of his were asleep at the midday meal. On Ossus, Saw became close to another Padawan, Anini Dess. How did those two ended up as Sith Lords?- Lejj kept saying- Saw was involved in the battle to defend the Jedi Library on Ossus from the One Sith. His master, Lady F, ordered Saw and Anini to evacuate the planet in a Jedi Shuttle full of younglings. However, Saw desperately wanted to stay and fight with his father, Finn. He argued the point, but eventually obeyed his father and went to the shuttle. Just after boarding the shuttle, Saw sensed that his master, Lady F, had been struck down, and that his father Finn was now fighting the Sith alone. Both Anini and Saw left the shuttle to fight by his father's side. -
