Ana
After we discovered Silas's tribrid status, he flourished. Mom suggested that I bind his powers, but I declined. I didn't want Silas to suffer my fate and learn how to control my powers. Plus, I learned control while teaching Silas.
My mom guided me on spells, along with Kira and Alex. Erik and my dad showed me how to control my shifting, but it wouldn't matter when there was a full moon. Well, it didn't matter for the pack since they didn't have control. Ah, the perks of being a hybrid.
Silas gripped Erik's fur as Erik carried him on his back while I walked alongside them. A breeze blew past us as we stopped. Dante stood in front of us and held Silas.
"Why?" I asked Dante.
Dante put Silas down, held his hands, and walked with him. "I enjoy spending time with Silas."
Erik moved his head and gave me an annoyed look.
I shook my head. "Silas likes Dante."
Erik blew air through his nostrils. My alpha was temperamental with Dante but refrained from killing him because of Silas. I hated playing mediator between Erik and Dante.
"Just so that you know someone bore a vampire child," Dante said.
"Huh?"
Silas pushed Dante's hands away as Erik shifted into human form.
"What do you mean someone bore a vampire child? That's impossible," Erik told Dante.
Dante crouched and held Silas steady. "It's not impossible when a Tempus witch created you. I know because one created me."
"But I thought vampirism stops the biological effects of a person," I mentioned.
"It does unless a Tempus witch turns you. We can produce children, but the child will kill the mother if the mother is human. Even with supernatural creatures, it's iffy. The mother would need to be powerful."
"Aren't Tempus witches temperamental?"
"Yep, and if you piss off one, then it screws you."
"How did you learn this information?" Erik asked.
"I have super hearing. When you travel, you hear the chattering of new supernatural creatures."
I furrowed my brows. We had a new threat lurking in our midst.
"How do you destroy a vampire created by a Tempus witch?" I asked.
Dante looked at me. "You can't. Only a tribrid can."
Erik and I glanced at Silas, who wiggled in Dante's hands.
"Tempus created a fail-safe when he created the Tempus witches. You know if shit went south, and they turned on him. He considered a tribrid a freak of nature and would never exist. He didn't count on a Dreamweaver having their fun with a hybrid."
"Yeah, but you're not insane, and a Tempus witch created you," I said.
"Because I'm unique. Isn't that right, Silas?" Dante made faces at Silas as he laughed.
It was time to learn who the Tempus witches turned.

CainI pushed open a thick wooden door, inhaled the stench of blood, and noticed the dead bodies on the wooden floor. "Remi."
A cherubic face appeared from the shadows with blood covering its mouth. I knelt and held out my arm. Fangs pierced my skin as Remi drank until he became satiated.
