"Why do we still have to come here" a 10 year old tremani said rolling his eyes as they pulled up to his physical therapy place

"Because you're not done baby, you're not fully healed either"

"Yes I am I'm good, if we would stop coming here I would be better"

"Ok" his mom responded not wanting to go back and forth with him since she knew he was just frustrated

"So Tremani you've been making really good progress, I'm proud of you and so is your mom, you should be too" his physical therapist said with a big smile on her face

"Mmh" he responded not wanting to talk

"Okay today I want to see how you do with running and we're gonna do some arm exercises okay"

They walk to the small field outside that look freshly mowed

"I'm not gonna be able to do it" Tremani blurted out as he seen the field

"Yes you can hun, let's stretch first"

After they finished stretching it was time to run and as soon as it was his turn to run he busted out crying

"Baby what's wrong" his mom asked

"I can't do this mom, I'm not good at anything, I should of died instead of dad, I literally suck at everything in life" he said with tears streaming down his face

"Baby you listen to me, you are good enough and god chose it was time for your daddy to go so don't ever let me hear you say it should of been you who died. Do you hear me?" She fussed

"Yes ma'am" he said with his head down

"Go make daddy proud and after you can go play with that little girl over there, she looks lonely" his mom said pointing to the little girl who had her leg and arm wrapped in a cast

"Ok" Tremani said forcing a smile

After he ran he went over to the little girl who he had never seen before

"Hi my name is tremani what's yours" he said nervously to the girl who had her head down sitting in the grass

"nova"

"Your name is pretty, you look lonely do you wanna be friends" he said bluntly

"Thank you and sure" nova said being nice

Little did tremani know they were gonna be inseparable

I think im going to start putting tremani and nova into to one chapter so y'all won't have to wait as long and the chapters will be a little longer and as I said last chapter there will be a time skip 🔜
