1. SUSIE JOINS THE SECRET SEVEN

Chapter 5 - JACK'S NEW WATCH

Jack had a new watch. It was a very big chunky digital watch and one which was considered very ''cool'' among the boys at school. He had saved up his paper round money for months to buy it and when his cousin, Billy, came to visit he was amazed by such a big and cool watch as his was smaller. They compared watches and Jack couldn't resist showing off

''Your new watch is well nice'' his cousin said ''I want a cool big watch like that''

Susie was nearby rolling her eyes ''You boys and your toys really'' she said 

''Look it's just something cool for us boys ok'' Jack told her ''you girls also enjoy your own things, us boys like our thing, and you like yours''

''Girls do not worry about who has the bigger watch'' Susie insisted with a grin ''that's where you boys are being very childish together''

''Well, do you have something else to do now then Susie?'' Jack said ''You don't need to stay here and annoy us all day long''

''As a matter of fact, Binkie will be here soon!'' Susie said with a smile ''she will stay all weekend here with me!''

''Oh my god you're joking'' Jack could not stand Susie's annoying best friend Binkie

''It's ok I'm sure we will not bother you at all, but Billy you must come with us when we go to the mall. you are my cousin too and you should not spend all weekend with Jack I would like to see you too''

Billy looked horrified. He liked his cousin Susie but he did not like Binkie any more than Jack did

There was a knock at the door

''I expect that will be Binkie now!'' Susie beamed ''I hope you two will be nicer to her this time, you are always so rude and mean to her''

Susie went to let Binkie in and she walked in with a big grin on her face

''Hello, boys!'' she said with a giggle and then looked at Jack's wrist ''OOH you have a new watch! oh isn't it a very big watch, how cool!''   

Then Binkie walked over and began to poke both boys and annoy them

''STOP POKING US!'' Jack demanded furiously but Binkie just laughed and did it even more

''Susie come and poke these boys with me!'' she said ''its so much fun'' 

All weekend Binkie and Susie were annoying to Jack and Billy. Jack knew that it was Binkie who was bringing out the worst in Susie. she wasn't always this bad but when she was with Binkie she got very annoying. Finally, on Sunday night Binkie and Billy both had to go home. Binkie left first and Jack retreated to his bedroom very tired. Susie was alone with her cousin for a while and they had a quick PlayStation game together   

''Well it was great to see you cuz'' Susie told Billy as he was leaving ''Although I would have liked to see more of you as you always hang out with Jack and not me. Do you not like me very much? I am sad because you are my cousin''

''I told you I like you but it's that Binkie I can't stand'' Billy said

Just after Billy had left Susie was going up to bed when a very upset Jack came rushing out of his room almost in tears

''Susie have you taken my watch as a joke?'' he demanded ''I left it on my bedside table and now it's gone. I can't find it. Please if you took it for a prank just give it back I am begging you''

Susie didn't laugh or annoy Jack, she could see how upset he was and she didn't like seeing him that upset. She comforted him

''Jack I didn't take your watch I promise'' she said kindly '' I swear I wouldn't do that, I am not a thief''
