                                                   Satori POV

I was sitting in the passenger seat of the car as Dad drove, I looked out the window as we passed building and cars,

The windshield wipers moving fast due to how fast and hard the rain fell from the sky,

I sighed,

This always happens no matter what weekend mommy and him pick, he takes me for a few hours and decides he has other priorities,

Work....

Work has always been his priority over me, over mommy,

I may be six but I'm not ignorant,

"I'm sorry sweetie last minute business trip, I promise when I get back we'll do something fun," He said still looking at the road,

If I had a nickel for every time he's said that to me when he disappoints me, sure I'm used to it now,

But I know I should be mad, I should know better than to get my hopes up by his word, But still that part of me hopes he keeps his promise,

He parked the car outside of mommy's work,

Wow it's more impressive than she described,

"I tried calling her, she's probably in there somewhere, didn't want to just drop you at home," He said

"I know," I said

"This won't be forever sweetie," He said kissing my cheek,

I just nodded

What could I say to that, nothing, because he always says it.

I unbuckled my seatbelt, grabbing my backpack full of clothes and get out of the car shutting the door,

Dad drives off, not even bothering to make sure I make it in the building,

I just shake my head, I hold the straps of my backpack that is on my arms, looking up at the tower,

I can't believe mommy works here, I mean she's told me stories but it doesn't do them justice, I thought

I walked in the tower,

Soaked to the bone the receptionist stops me,

"Can I help you darling?" She asked

I smiled at her,

"Yeah, I'm looking for my mom, Pepper Potts," I said

"Oh I will let her know your here why don't you have a seat darling," She said

I nodded sitting in one of the chairs swinging my legs back and forth,

                                                Pepper POV

"Don't forget Tony you have a meeting at noon with the avengers and Nick about the HYDRA situation," I said as we walked

"Got it," he said

we walked into his office where he pulls me into him just as we were about to kiss,

"I'm sorry to interrupt. Miss Potts there seems to a visitor here for you," FRIDAY said

Tony looked confused

I was just as confused,

"Who?" Tony said

"It seems to be a young girl," FRIDAY said

Satori, I thought

"I have to go." I said  leaving in a rush, but I hear his footsteps behind me,

"Mind telling me what's going on?" He said

"It's complicated," I said getting on the elevator, he got on, he arched his brow,

                                     Satori POV

I continue to wait patiently, my feet swinging back and forth that's when I hear the elevator, I see Mommy get off with none other than Tony Stark,

I have to say he's much taller in person, I thought

I jumped off the chair, walking towards mommy,

Mommy was squatting in front of me now,

"Satori honey what are you doing here?' She said in a worried tone since I am kinda drenched

"Dad dropped me off, said something about business out of town," I said smiling at mommy,

I know it worries her, how dad just ditches me all the time,

Tony looked extremely confused,

Mommy on the other had looked pis- I mean very very angry,

"Dad?" Tony said looking at Mommy,

"I'll tell you later, My god Satori your soaked to the bone," She said

I giggled

"It is raining," I said

Mommy smiled forcefully shaking her head,

"Tony do you mind if I go home and come back?" Mommy asked,

"Yeah, go ahead but were going to talk about this when you do come back." Tony said sternly,

Mommy nodded,

"Come on Satori," Mommy said picking me up,

"Bye Mr Stark nice meeting you," I said smiling at him,

"You too, Satori," He said grabbing my small fingers gently shaking my hand

I smiled at him and mommy started walking out of the building,
