Ch. 14 "Worried"

                                                    Tony POV 

Me and Pepper made our way to the main avengers floor I had Friday to tell them to meet us there. 

We were in the elevator. 

I looked at Pepper who looked distraught. I don't blame her. hell I'm worried as hell. 

Sure Tori is the smartest five year old I've ever met. but she's still a kid. so small. anything could have happened. 

Kidnapped. gotten hurt anything. 

"Stark what is this about?" Sam said still looking half asleep. 

I looked at Pepper. 

"Tori's missing.." I said 

Suddenly everyone was wide awake. 

"What?" Steve said 

"Her dad called-" I began. 

"He left her alone. when he got a call for work. and when he came home she was gone." Pepper said almost in tears. 

"We'll find her." Nat said standing up. 

"We'll search around her dad's house." Clint said walking out with Nat. 

"We'll ask around." Steve said leaving with Sam and Bucky. 

I nodded watching them all walk out to look for her. 

I brought down a screen and started typing. 

"I'm going to do a city wide scan." I said 

Pepper didn't say anything. I looked back at her. 

"We'll find her." I said 

"I know. but this is all my fault. she didn't want to go. and I told her to give him a chance. and he leaves her alone. by herself." Pepper said 

"Hey this isn't your fault. this is his fault." I said glaring. 

"And once we find her. I think I'm going to have a talk with this ass whole." I said 

"Tony-" Pepper said 

"I know later." I said 

"Friday do a city wide scan for Tori." I said 

"If I may sir. Miss Satori arrived at the tower at early hours this morning." Friday said 

"What?" I said standing up. 

"Where is she?" Pepper said 

"In her room." Friday said 

"Inform the team." I said as we rushed to the elevator 

We get to the top floor. and rush to her room to see her back to us. and hugging the teddy bear that I left on the bed. 

"Satori." Pepper said rushing to the bed kneeling in front of her. 

"Satori honey." Pepper said moving some of Tori's hair away from her face. 

Satori's eyes slowly flutter open and she turns towards us. 

"Mommy?' She whispered as she rubbed her eyes. 

"Honey how did you get here?" Pepper said 

Tori blinked lazily 

"I took the bus.." Tori said 

Pepper looked back at me worried. 

"Why did you come here? you were with your dad?" I asked 

I know the answer but I wanted to hear it from her. 

"I just wanted to come home.." Tori said then turned her back towards us. 

"Pepper why don't you go talk to the team. I wanna talk to Tori." I said 

Pepper hesitated but nodded. 

"Satori sit up for me sweetheart." I said 

She did as she was told sitting on the edge of the bed. 

I sat next to her. 

"Satori-" I began. 

"You know I learned younger that I was different." She began. 

"That I was smarter than most. My dad never really payed attention." She said 

"He wasn't there my first day of kindergarten." She said standing up. 

"He wasn't there the first science fair! he wasn't there during my birthdays!" She  said 

"I don't need him Tony! I don't need him!" She said 

She looked down. closing her eyes. 

"Why don't he want me Tony." She said tears falling down her cheeks 

I got down on my knees hugging her tightly. her arms tightly around my neck. 

"Why don't he want me??.." She cried 

I petted her hair as I held her close. 

It broke my heart. hearing those words come from her mouth. seeing her cry like this. 

I will make this bastard pay for making her cry. I thought
