No PoV
Rocco groaned as he opened his eyes. His head foggy, he couldn't remember where is was or why he was in so much pain.
He tried to adjust to the light in the room, as he looked around, he spotted his dad by the door.
"Da..d" he coughed
"Rocco" his dad said as he rushed over to his side.
"W-What happened" Rocco croaked Lorenzo sighed and sat down next to him. Rocco realised he was not in the med-bay but he was in his room.
"Rocco you where shot" Rocco eyes went wide then everything came back to him. Himself and Remi where attacked on there way back he remembered Remi shouting at him and then all he felt was pain.
"I guess that's why I'm in so much pain" his dad nodded
"Henry has gone to get you some pain meds he'll be back as soon as he can" his dad said
"Is R-emi okay" Rocco coughed which caused more pain
"Here drink" his dad held out a glass of water Rocco took a long sip.
"Remi's fine" his dad said and placed the glass on the cabinet beside his bed.
*knock,knock*
"Come in" Lorenzo said Henry opened the door shocked to see Rocco awake and what looked to be talking despite the pain he must be in.
"I've bought the pain meds" Henry said as he held the iv and meds in his hands
"T-thank god because I'm in so much pain right now" Rocco said his dad and Henry looked at him as his face scrunched up in pain
"You were very lucky kiddo, the bullet went right through. I stitch you up and bandaged it" Henry explained while setting up the iv in Rocco's hand
"Once I inject you with this you'll start to feel drowsy and may become confused for a little bit but you'll feel much better" Henry said and he injected the meds into the iv
After about 5 minutes of waiting Rocco started feeling tired he felt irritated at the needle in the back of his hand
"Don't touch it buddy" Henry stops his hand from touching it.
"Dad" Rocco said
"I'm here" Lorenzo said
"I'm sorry" Rocco said
"Can you give us a minute" Lorenzo asked Henry
"Sure I'll come check on him in the morning" Henry said Lorenzo nodded before Henry left the room shutting the door behind him
"What are you sorry for" Lorenzo said
"For being a disappointment" Rocco said
"Your not a disappointment your my son and I love you very much and I'm sorry for not being a proper father to you and I promise I'll be better okay" Lorenzo said
Rocco tried to speak again but his dad shushed him Rocco allowed his eyes to start closing Lorenzo started to stroke his sons hair.
"That's it, you can sleep now. The pain medication will help you, just try and rest" Lorenzo spoke gently massaging roccos hair as rocco eyes snapped shut and his breathing steadied.
