This question has appeared from more than one person:

Is the attraction an instant thing or is it chosen by the type of monster they are?

Most times, it is from a situation that allows them to feel this way. In some way, shape, or form, they gain an emotional dependency on reader. How they handle it will be different based on the monster and their species and their past experiences all together.

I will not say that these reactions are 100% accurate to the character, because I've based these off of my own interpretation of the character, but a lot of it will be based on situation!

For example, Cleo had everything except happiness. When she found you, she realized she felt that happiness. So she gained an emotional attachment to you.

Deuce didn't have someone to care, so when you did, he gained that emotional dependency.

Clawdeen has the most emotional dependency, I think, because she always felt second best. So when you showed her what it was like to be #1, she craved it and ended up with that emotional attachment.

It mainly just depends on the situation and what's going on in their lives. Thank you for the question!
