"Aiylaa!", a voice calls for me.

"Aiyla Yasirr!". She repeats, this time with a slight hint of annoyance.

I already recognized that high pitched voice shouting from downstairs.
Still in my bed with my hair tied in a bun, i groan,"What do you want?".

I could already feel the heat radiating from her as she warns me,"Don't make me come up there, hurry up!".

"In a minute", i shout back, immediately jumping out of bed and wore my light blue jean cardigan, wrapped a black pashmina around my head. Then I apply some lip balm and eye liner.

I take one look at myself in the mirror before heading out. "Almost forgot.. ".
I grab my sling bag.

As i pop my head in the living room i see her sitting on the sofa, crossed leg.
"Took you long enough turbo",she says with much sarcasm.

I fold my arms,"Whatever mom".

"Aunty we're going out okay?", She spoke loud enough so that ummi can hear her."Ok dears, have a good time. Don't come back so late", she shouts from the kitchen.

"Let's go I'm starving, i could eat a cow", Saharah pulled my arm and we walk out the door.

This is my sister Sahara Abdullah. Well not biologically but she's my sister and best friend. We're practically inseparable.
I've known her ever since kindergarten, but back then we were strangers. We became friends starting primary school.

She may look all tense and quiet but boy if people actually know her they would be carrying earplugs. She's always nagging me about this and that. I have a hard time finding the differences between her and ummi.

Sometimes she nags at me more than my own mother.

But I'm grateful that I have her by my side. She's very protective and cares about me a lot.
Throughout my childhood I've met a lot of people. Even fake ones. But not Saharah, she was far from fake. That's what i liked about her. She's true to herself. And doesn't give a single shit about what people thought of her.

I find it very cool.

"Aiyla", Sahara snaps her fingers infront of my face, waking me up from a trance.
"Sorry what?".

"What is the big surprise that you wanted to tell me?", She asks while flipping at a menu.

I feel my stomach churn in discomfort.

Ugh.. i think I'm gonna be sick..

Do i really have to do this?

I watch her gaze finding mine and that's when the words i memorized a bunch of times infront of the mirror before coming here just seems to disappear.

Great.

She stares at me opening and closing my mouth like a fish. "Take your time turbo, we have all day", she chuckles while relaxing into her chair.

Gee woman can't you see I'm holding by a thread here?

Finally, i shook off the fear and spoke,
"I'm-". But it seems the waiter beat me to it."Excuse me, but are you ready to order?", the guy stands by our table with a notepad.

"Hey Danny, watcha doin this Sunday?", Saharah asks pushing the menu away.
The waiter, Danny takes a moment to think. "Other than slowly aging by the second while playing video games? Nothing really". He shrugs.
