The Shift in Realities.

Chapter 23: Into the pyre (part 2)

W.A.R control room.

Hasham was sitting there with Gen. David in the control room and was monitoring the defenses of the WAR head quarters. He was responsible of the safety of all the people including scientists and technicians working in the head quarters as well as the surrounding civilians of all the rebel territory.

"Everything is looking good till now," said Hasham. "I'll go out to check the situation of the city. Keep me updated." He said leaving the control room and went for survey of the territory.

"You want to talk to your father?" Asks David.

"Nah, he will be fine. Just tell him don't lose his consciousness when he found out who is the leader of the corrupts." Said Hasham as he left the control room.

Seraj and Jeff are moving towards the way Stuart told them, they parted ways a while back, while Stuart moved towards the prison in search for his mother and brother.

"We are close sir," said the soldier ahead of Seraj "be ready, we'll sneak our way around but if we are being detected we'll fire."  The soldiers move steadily around the corridors and disabling any surveillance cameras in the way by emp guns and making their way in.

Soon they hear voices of people in towards a hall, voices of people talking all in frustration and anger, Seraj's team quickly lashed inside the enemy surveillance room. Everyone got shocked to see soldiers, by everyone's face it was clear that they weren't expecting any soldiers here.

"Freeze!!" A soldier shouted "We won't harm the unharmed, tell us where your boss is, and where are you hiding the Mecha-Bots. Answer or I'll fire!"

As soon as he said this sound of footsteps start to came from the room behind the hall, and someone emerge from there. He was dark and normal height, he wore gray long coat which looks like a lab coat unless it wasn't white. His face was badly scarred, and he had one augmented eye.

"I'm right here" the man said "I'm their boss."

The soldier run towards him to grab him and confront him, he wasn't armed at all but when he was in mid way of his journey the not emerged from his back, hovering over the floor and with sonic speed and in instant the body of the soldier completely turned into ashes.

Seraj was watching all of this with bewilderment. He couldn't understand at first that what has happened, he was too busy recognizing the person. After all of his scars and modifications he looked so familiar, why? Why is he looking so familiar? Seraj said to himself No this can't be, he can't be.. Yes of course.. It is he who else can it be.

It was the person Seraj recognize very well, it was his best, the man was no other than Mahmoud. The friend he dear most.

"Im... Impossible!!" Jeff cried with choking on the words "This can't be happening, the bots should not opperate at all. What? What have you done with them?"

Seraj was still stunned, he couldn't grasp the situation he's in, he just could not believe that the person he is here to fight is his best friend "Mahmoud? How can this be?" He mutters to himself the person he was staring at was no other than Mahmoud but how? How can he be such cruel person? How can he be against lives of the innocent people?

Mahmoud looks towards him, their eyes met Seraj eyes didn't moved and nor does Mahmouds his eyes were rigid and dark pits of blackness, nothing like Seraj have ever seen. His personality has a different effect on his face, his posture straight and stiff, he looks strong, stronger than any person.
