Bens POV

"Well, surely you ain't going?" Mason said after a couple of minutes silence from everyone.

"I've got a couple weeks to decide" she said

"Inter or AC?" Christian asked - like it made a difference.

"AC" she responded.

Again no one spoke for a couple of minutes. It's like your mum and dad telling you they are getting a divorce and that your mum is moving to the other side of the country. Jaymie just huffed and sat down on one of the beanbags.

"I don't know what to say" Mason said "I had no idea"

"What does this mean?" I said "like for us?"

"We need to convince her to stay. We really do"  Christian said.

"You need to have a chat with her bro" Tammy said "you're the only reason she will stay" he looked at me.

"Me?" I repeated "what about you guys? You're her best friends"

"You can promise her shit we can't. Like a future and stuff" Christian said.

"I've been seeing her for like a month I can't do all of that" I laughed.

"It's worth a shot come on" Mason said.

Of course I didn't want Jaymie to leave, I really like her. To go through all of this stuff just to get her back and for her to open up to me just for her to leave to Milan is frustrating. Very frustrating.

"Hi guys" Roman - the owner of Chelsea walked into the room. A very rare occurrence. "I would just like to speak to you guys , whilst you are all here"

"Not another announcement" Tammy huffed,

"I'm here to unfortunately tell you that we have had to let Mr Lampard go" he half smiled.

"Have you got a new manager lined up?" Jorginho asked.

"I'm currently in talks with Mr Tuchel. But I'd like to assume he will take training tomorrow" he said "so that means everyone must be on their best behaviour, including you Ms Carter" he added and looked over to Jaymie.

"I'm always on my best behaviour Roman" she smiled, the only one that was brave enough to call him by his first name "you know me"

"And that's why I'm saying it Ms Carter" he smirked - still not calling her by her first name.

"If it's behaviour we are talking about - you should warn our defensive" she said "they're the ones that are trouble" she stood up and walked the the door.

"Lovely to see you as always Miss"

"And you, Roman" she smiled and left the room.

"I'm sorry to interrupt anyway guys, please continue" he said but didn't leave the room, instead spending time with us players.

"I'm going to go and find Jaymie" I stood up and turned around.

"And why would you be doing that?" Roman asked me as I turned around and came face to face with him.

"Oh no reason" I smiled

"Chilwell" he smiled "you know , it's not hard for someone to read the news , especially about players that play for my team" he said. Obviously referring to the articles that have been written about Jaymie and myself , when we have been seeing eachother for drinks and dinner out in London.

"Right" I awkwardly smiled.

"She's different our Jaymie" he said - the first time he had called her by her first name. "Just look after her ok?"

"Yes sir" I smiled.

"So err maybe go find her then?" He said after me just standing infront of him for a minute or 2.

"Right"

Jaymies POV

"Got the usual ready for you J" the chef handed me my usual breakfast.

"Thank you as always" I smiled and took the plate from him.

I found my usual seat at the table right in the corner and had a look at the email that i received last night.

To , Miss Carter

Kind regards,
S.Pioli
Head coach at AC Milan.

I couldn't help but re-read the annual salary. To put it in perspective, my annual salary currently is £26,000 with no bonuses. At the same time I couldn't help but think everyone here is my family. All though I go home every other week to no electricity or no hot water , I don't think I could imagine not waking up in the morning and coming here to Christian and Mason trying to learn a new tiktok dance or seeing NG smile because I finally managed to learn something new in French.

And Benjamin Chilwell.

"Hey stranger"

"Hi" I looked up to see Ben with two cups of tea.

"Thought you might of needed one of these" he smiled and handed the tea to me.

"Has it got a double shot of vodka in it?" I joked.

"What are you thinking?" He asked me. He sat down opposite me and I couldn't help but think how adorable this man is.

"Too many things to burden you with" I laughed out of self pity.

"Are you going to go?"

"I don't know yet"

"How much are you thinking you are going to go?"

"Like 70/30?" I said, honestly.

"70 to stay?" He said, his eyes twinkled with optimism.

"70 to go" I huffed. It was like kicking a puppy. I could see his face automatically drop.

"Do I just mean nothing to you? These whole 6 months of going back and forth?" He asked, the closest I've ever seen him to getting angry.

"You're the 30 that's making me want to stay" I said "well 25, the rest of the guys being the other 5"

"You said you love it here, like a weird dysfunctional family. Why would you ever want to leave your family?" He quoted me from what I said to him when I first ever met him.

"Because I can't keep going home after working all day for £2,000 a month not knowing if the locks are going to be changed because I can't afford my rent. I can't keep relying on if I win a bet one month or if Mase will bail me out for the hundredth time"

"Come live with me then!" He blurted out.

"Don't be stupid Benjamin, we've been on like 5 dates, I can't live with you" I laughed.

"Jaymie , Chelsea needs you" he took my hands and rubbed his thumbs in the ever comforting circles.

"And I need to look after myself for the first time in 6 years Benjamin" I said, chewing the inside of my mouth to stop my eyes from welling up.

"I've got three weeks left here , then I think its my time to leave"
