ᴇxᴄʜᴀɴɢᴇ sᴛᴜᴅᴇɴᴛ

renjun is a chinese 16 year old, going into his junior year of highschool.

over the summer, his parents decided he would have more academic possibilities in south korea.

which is how he ended up here, two weeks before school, in a strangers home.

the na family, his mother said before she shipped him off-

apparently they've had exchange students before, and she's talked with miss na numerous times in the past about this being an option for renjun.

also,, it might have been a good note to renjun that they have a SON!

or else he wouldn't be in this awkward situation, where they're sitting together at the dining table, and the na's son is staring him down like he's the meal!!

he's extremely uncomfortable, and what's worse is he keeps looking up at the boy and making eye contact- every time, he blushes, and looks away. he can see the handsome boy smirking when he looks to miss na, who's making the plates.

she sat down and gave the boys their food, she starts a conversation by smiling at renjun and saying warmly, "since my husband is.... not around currently, it'll be just us three while you're here renjun" renjun nods, awkwardly messing with his fingers beneath the table. he didn't know how to end or continue the conversation-

miss na soon realizes her son and exchange student haven't yet met each other- "oh!! my goodness, i'm so sorry dear" she holds onto jaemins arm gently as she continues, "renjun, this is my son jaemin, after dinner he's gonna help you set all of your things up in your room. he also goes to the same school as you!!"

they all hear the front door open, and renjun turns around, only to be met by a tall, attractive, puppy, male- "oh- am i interrupting something?? i came over because my parents didn't feed me tonight-" he says, and renjun almost melts at how deep his voice is. he continues to stare at renjun, making the short boy blush.

miss na shakes her head, "no no jeno!! you're always welcomed here. this is our new exchange child, renjun. renjun, this is jaemins bestfriend, lee jeno; you don't mind if he stays for dinner right?" renjun gulps as all eyes were on him- he shakes his head quickly and mumbles, "n-no.. it's alright,,," these are the first words he's spoken tonight, and jaemin becomes shocked-

his soft spoken and slightly high pitched voice didn't match his slight r.b.f for sure-

jeno nods and bows to renjun, before sitting next to him.

renjun notices how jeno scoots his chair closer to him, and that makes him slightly nervous, he doesn't know why but it does-

  

they finish dinner in an awkward silence, and everyone decides jeno will stay the night, since he can do more heavy lifting with jaemin to help get renjuns room the way he wants it.

miss kim left the three boys alone in the dining room, saying she had some school papers to grade(as renjun had discovered, she was a school teacher).

jaemin and jeno turn to face renjun as she shuts her door yostairs, and suddenly renjuns knees feel weak. they're both staring him down and he feels like he's going to faint at any moment-

"come on renjun, jeno can carry your things while i show you to your room- it's right next to mine, so if you need anything you can always come get us" jaemin says sweetly as he offered his hand to renjun, he almost doesn't accept the odd offer, but he feels bad so he just holds the taller boys hand for a second. but then jaemin intertwined their fingers, and renjuns breath hitches-
