<Third Person POV>

It was a warm summer morning when Jessica opened her eyes, blinking away the sleep in them. She was worried, her dad wanted to talk to them today, apparently It's something that will change their lives. See, Jessica was far from an only child, she had twelve over-protective older brothers, Hayden, Jaden, Kayden, Aaden, Edward, Steward, Parker, Oliver, William, Xavier, Ashley and Simon. Simon was the closest to her age, being 16 but he was still 2 years older.

Shrugging her shoulders she walked into her wardrobe and picked out an outfit before walking into her bathroom and taking a shower. She came out in a plain white top, blue jeans, black converse and a leather jacket. She grabbed her black school bag before making her way to the kitchen.

When she got there she greeted her brothers and sat down, soon after a plate was sat in front of her holding avocado on toast, her favourite

When she got there she greeted her brothers and sat down, soon after a plate was sat in front of her holding avocado on toast, her favourite.

"Thanks dad." She said as she dug into her meal.

"No problem kiddo. Just remember Hayden will be picking you up from school at lunch." He replied

"Got it!" She said as she placed her plate in the sink and grabbed her bag. "I'm off to school, Bye Guys!" A chorus of goodbyes followed her through the mansion of a house until she shut the front door. Jessica walked to school despite having school-age brothers. Why? because she goes to a different school. The boys, holding no talent whatsoever go to the local secondary school, Hollywood Senior High, while Jessica goes to the prestigious school of The Academy of Media Arts, more commonly known as Hollywood Arts.

Her father had the same business prowess the boys had although he had no theatrical talent. Her mother however, sang like an angel and could act as if she was born as that character. It was this talent that was passed onto Jessica. She never got less than an A+ on an assignment although it is usually an A*. She likes to think her mum would be proud of her.

See, Jessica's mother died in a car crash when Jess was four. She got into a taxi with a drunk driver only she didn't know. She had Jessica with her, she shielded her from the impact. Jessica was the only survivor. Doctors say she is a miracle. She doesn't feel like a miracle, she feels like it is her fault. They were coming back from Jessica's Ballet recital. If she wasn't born maybe her mother would still be alive. These were the thoughts that constantly plagued Jessica. Only one thing kept her going. The promise. When it was clear to Isabella only one would make it out, she turned to Jess and made her promise she would always keep dancing, singing and acting. Even at that young age it was clear that her daughter had talent. She didn't want to see her waste it.

Jessica plugged in her headphones and turned on her music, her own songs, she played them so that she won't forget them. It wouldn't do for her to forget the lyrics mid-song. This song was called Shut Up And Dance (On top) she started singing along as she walked.

It's nine on the dot
And we just talk and we talk
And I just want it to stop
'Cause aren't we here for the music

And if you dare
Just get up out of your chair
'Cause this ain't goin' nowhere
We've gotta move it or you lose it

All I wanna know (know)
Is when we're letting go
So we can get this record to break (break)
Why we wasting time (time)
We never can rewind (wind)
All I'm really trying to say is

Shut up and dance, show me what you got
Shut up and dance. Are you in or not?
You're moving your mouth, baby. Don't speak
Well, shut up and dance if you're into me

'Cause I can't wait no more
To get on the floor
Don't stop. Now's our chance!

Just shut up and dance, dance, dance

We're here for the night
And we can do what we like
So, don't you put up a fight
'Cause I'll be driving you crazy

What would you do
When I get up next to you?
You like the way that I move
I'm not your girl but I could be

All I wanna know (know)
Is when we're letting go (so)
So we can get this record to break (break)
Why we wasting time (time)
We never can rewind (wind)
All I'm really trying to say is

Shut up and dance, show me what you got
Shut up and dance. Are you in or not?
You're moving your mouth, baby. Don't speak
Well, shut up and dance if you're into me

'Cause I can't wait no more
To get on the floor
Don't stop. Now's our chance!

Shut up and dance, dance, dance
Shut up and dance, dance, dance

Shut up and dance 'til we drop
'Cause I'm sick of the space in between
You and me. Light it up
'Til we're making a scene
Quit the talk
Let it rock
If you know what I mean

Shut up and dance, show me what you got
Shut up and dance. Are you in or not?
You're moving your mouth, baby. Don't speak
Well, shut up and dance if you're into me

'Cause I can't wait no more
To get on the floor
Don't stop. Now's our chance!

Shut up and dance, dance, dance, yeah
Shut up and dance, dance, dance, yeah
Put up your hands, hands, hands, yeah
Shut up and dance, dance, dance, yeah

Shut up and dance!

The song ended just as Jessica walked into school. Time for Maths she thought just as the bell went.
