I was sitting in my room bored to death on a Sunday. I wondered where Jussie was today. I looked on Instagram and saw a picture he posted of him in the 90s as a young boy. I started reading the caption. "In honor of my stop in Detroit-" at that moment I ran into my parents' bedroom and got a black suitcase out of their closet. No one was home but my dog. I packed up some clothes, shoes, a blanket, toiletries, and 3 chargers and 2 ear buds. I rushed downstairs, went into the kitchen, and grabbed the Wendy's bag I left in the microwave last night. There was a junior bacon cheese burger, 2 6 piece nuggets, and 1 value fry with 2 packets of sweet and sour sauce inside. I was wearing a grey v neck, blue skinny jeans, and a pair of sweater socks. (When I got home yesterday, I fell asleep in my clothes) I hurriedly slid on my dirty yet somewhat decent red vans, grabbed my keys and a hoodie, and walked out the house after putting the alarm on and locking the door. I had no idea when my parents would be back from church, but it was already 12:30 in the afternoon. I walked down the street to my best friend Lavender's house. Lavender's mother opened the door when I knocked. "You know that girl is still asleep. What's up?" She asked. "This is an emergency. My parents called me from the airport. They're going to visit my aunt who is in a coma, and they told me to see if I can get a ride since the car broke down." What did I just say?!? Either way it was good. "Oh my! I'll take you. Let me get my keys." Lavender's mom went in the house while I stood outside for a moment, processing my thoughts. I put my phone on my suitcase and held my food still. Where do I go from here?!? How do I even find him? I picked up my phone and googled the word empire on my phone. The first result read "Empire album signing in Chicago today!" Lavender's mom came outside. I pressed the lock button on my phone and followed her to her car. "Come on. Let's not keep your parents waiting." She said. I put my suitcase in the back seat and sat in the front with my food and my phone. "Should I end this now?!?" I wanted to go so badly I let my conscience get the best of me. Lavender's mom sat in the driver's seat and put the key in the ignition. We backed out of the driveway and proceeded to the airport.
