As requested by @shittykvwa, I'll be talking about how I make banners!

If you go to my graphics portfolio and take a look at the styles I have up for people to choose and request for, I have four different styles. But there are two distinct styles I do for banners. First is a banner that has a render, and secondly one without a render.

Here's an example of a renderless banner.

As there isn't a character in the banner that would capture the eyes of the viewer, the best way to place your text is right in the middle. The pngs you choose for it can be placed around it, which helps to show that the text is the main focus of your banner.

Here's an example of a banner with a render.

One of the best ways to show a character along with text in a banner is to have them be placed side by side, like above. You can place your pngs in any available space, but make sure that they aren't taking up too much of it as well. I usually place my pngs in two corners of a banner, and behind the render, so that they'll be visible from at least one corner(and it feels weird to have a png at one corner but none at the other, so I put another one there too lolol).

Of course there are other ways to place your character, text and pngs. One way I've experimented with is this.

(Character: Gentaro from Hypnosis Microphone)

In this banner, the character is a silhouette. While I did it mostly because there isn't any piece of official art that would fit the theme for the book's banners, I also took inspiration from the song that this book is going to be based off of. If the render is in full colour, it would just mess with the whole vibe of the cover and colour.

Does the green look weird on the banner? Yeah, to anyone who doesn't know HypMic, and probably to some who do as well. But, if you really want to know how to do placement for banners like these(based off of a song), try and include themes from the mv of the song.

The reason why there isn't any pngs in this particular banner is because the song that it takes inspiration from have this sort of 'interstellar travel' theme to it. I tried my best to incorporate such a theme in, and using pngs would just ruin the vibe of it. This also helps to put the render and text as the main focus of the banner.

For this series where I'll be using this banner, there are two other banners with two different characters. All of them have their respective colours, so to make it match, all three banners have the characters with their silhouettes which are coloured with their respective colour. Yellow is the colour for the background as the three characters' group's main colour is yellow. Things like this are something to take in mind if you want to try and make a series of banners, be it for whichever fandom/series you want it to be.

The best way to make a banner with two renders is to have one in the left, one on the right, with the text placed in the middle. It'll make the banner look neat that way. Here's an example.

In my opinion, there should be a maximum number of two renders used so that the banner won't look that cluttered

And that's it for this chapter! I hope it helped!

Thanks for reading this and have a great day/night!
