Jason's POV

(Of course it's f*cken raining!) I shoot my grappling gun but right when I swing a loud crack of thunder goes off and I fall into the alleyway under me. "F*CK!" I here foot steps behind me and I quickly spin around with my gun raised. The darknight then comes out of the shadows. "Dammit Bruce." I mutter while putting my gun back I into my thigh holster. "What do you want?" I spit out while walking away from him. "Why did you kill those thugs?" I scoff. "Because they deserved it. Duh." I state while turning to face him. He was about to say something when a loud crack of thunder goes off. I stiffen. Bruce stares at me. "Is everything okay hood?" He ask with worry. (Wait worry! No he doesn't care about me!!) "I'm fine." I loud crack of thunder goes off again and it fills like it shook the earth. This time I can't help it. I flinch.

Bruce's POV

"I'm fine." Jason states bitterly. Another loud crack of thunder goes off and Jason flinches. I slowly walk closer and realize he is breathing quite fast. "Jay what's wrong?" I ask showing more Bruce and less Batman now. He takes a couple steps back while shaking his head. "Nothing I'm fine." He states bitterly but I can here a little waver in his voice. "Don't lie to me." He rolls his eyes and starts walking away when thunder went off. Jason flinched and froze. He backs up until his back hits the cold wet brick ally wall. He sinks down pulling his knees to his chest. I quickly kneel down in front of him. "I don't want to die." He whispers to himself repeatedly. "Jason listen to me carefully," I gently command. "You are not dying." He looks up at me not with the normal anger filled eyes, but with sad scared 16 year old kid eyes. I gently place my hands on his shoulders causing him to flinch. "Please don't hurt me." He begs. I push back my guilt and gently pick him up. (I know this isn't really possible but...go with it.) he struggles to get out of my grip. I don't let go. I carry him back to the Batmovile and gently place him in shot gun. I then speed of to the manor. Alfred is in England, Tim is with the Titans, Dicks in Bluehaven, and Damian is visiting his mother. I gently carry him into the living room and place him down on the couch. I head to the hall closet to retrieve a blank when I here a petrified scream. I run back to the living room to see Jason on the floor with is knees pulled to his chest pulling at his hair. I drop the long forgotten blanket and run over to Jason. I cautiously sit down beside him. I gently grab his wrist and pull his hands away from his head. I pull his head to where it is laying in my chest and just hold him. "It's okay you're safe." I whisper into his hair. "I don't want to die." He sobs out. "Dad please! I don't want to die." My heart breaks. He hasn't called me dad since he's been back. "You aren't doing to die. I'm here. You're safe." He eventually drifts of to sleep.

(Time skip to the morning.)
Jason's POV

I wake up with a pounding headache. I look around to realize I'm not in my safe house. I quickly dart my hand to my thigh holster to find my gun gone. My breathing starts to quicken and my heart pounds.

Bruce's POV

I here shuffling in the living room so I assume Jason is awake. I walk into the living room to see Jason's eyes darting around the room and his hand on his empty thigh holster. "You're safe." He jumps surprised by my voice. "Bruce?" He asks. I nod. He thinks for a moment before his eyes torn to tarrier. I take a step forward but he jumps up and starts stumbling backwards. "Jason come here." He shakes his head like a little kid. "Jason. Come here." I say a little mor stern. He slowly walks forwards keeping his gaze on the ground. I pull him into a bar hug. "There is nothing to be ashamed of." He hesitates before. returning the hug. "I'm sorry." He sniffs out. "Why?" I ask shock. He just shrugs. I pull away and look him straight in the eye. "You have nothing to be sorry for understand?" He nods. I then lead him into the kitchen. We have a nice breakfast and it becomes a common thing until he moves back in.
