They Fell In Love

Chapter 8

As I sat in my room Brian climbed to my window.

"Hey, I heard about your dad is he okay?"

"He is. Why are you here?"

"I just thought you wanted to company ill just go-"

I pulled his hand.

"Please don't."

"I won't, are you okay though?"

I burst into tears.

"I need help Brian, its too hard, "I said tears streaming down my face.

"It's gonna be okay I promise, do you want me to stay with you?"

"It's okay you don't have to."

"I insist, please."

"Fine."

I got a blanket from my parent's room and folded it neatly on my bed.

"Here, you can use it later tonight."

"Thanks."

"Of cou-"

All of a sudden Brian hugged me.

"I'm so sorry for everything."He said while tearing up.

"Look, it's all good we need to move on."

"Ab-"

I interrupted him.

"Why did you kiss me?"

"I was gonna talk about that before you interrupted me but uh I did it because I've liked you since 8th grade and I just did it."

"Uh, I liked you too."

"Oh, you liked me."He said his voice fading away. Quickly he blurted out

"I gotta go ill see you whenever take care."

Before he could go anywhere I kissed him.

"I never said I stop liking you."

He breathed a breath of relief.

"But I can't date you."

"Why? you just grabbed my face and kissed me."

"I know but Brian, Vero is trying to kill me. And if I date you we'd never last anytime. Brian, I'm sorry."

"Hey it's fine don't worry about Vero, we can still be a thing."

"I want to but-"

As brian spoke my insecurities went away. Maybe I should take the chance.

But what made me decide was when Brian said

"If you don't take the chance now, you may never have it."

"I'll be with you. But we have to be quiet."

"Of course. So you wanna go to the movies?"

"No. Why not have a movie night here?"

"Great idea babe."

"Babe?"I said shocked."I like the sound of that."

Brian hugged me tightly and whispered in my ear saying he loved having the chance finally. As I looked out the window I saw a man with a gun pointing it straight at me, I immediately let go of Brian and drew the curtains, and ran downstairs.

"Is everything okay?"

"Brian, please go home."

"But I thought we were gonna have the movie night."

"We cant. She's after us."

"Oh, ill text you then. I love you."

"I love you too, please be safe," I said wondering if he was gonna be okay.

My fears shuffled away after I heard a knock at my door.

"Hunny, please let me in."

It was my mom.
