Fallen Angel

Unworried bother

Ethan's POV

I took in what she said, see this is why I said I was not a good influence in her life she's literally an angel everything in her is good, everything in me is evil, how am I gonna cope with this,

I sighed not responding to her,

" I bought some clothes for you Rayna, you know how to use the shower right?" I asked her, she replied nodding her head happily,

" good go take a shower while I make something for us to eat" I said getting up and going to the kitchen,

she got up too and limped upstairs, she was doing that thing with the radiation again but this one was making me really calm and sleeping, I wonder if she even notice while she does that,

I shook my head and started preparing what we were going to eat, my mind went back to what I was about to do this night and I felt dirty, when you have something so pure close to you you begin to doubt your entire existence, but I can't stop now, this is what I am now not even she can stop what i'm doing.

I was done cooking the creamy cajun chicken pasta, I served them and placed them on the table, once done I went to the bedroom and check if she was done, I saw her sitting on the bed closing her eyes, I looked at her and saw that she wore my shirt and shorts,

" hey the food is ready... and I bought you clothes i thought I gave them to you?" I said,

she opened her eyes and looked at me,

" you did but like your clothes better smell very nice!" she said getting up and walking up to me

" oh umm ok then" I didn't think of anything about it,

I turned and walked downstairs with her, she looked more lively it put me at ease.

She sat down on the dinner waiting for me,

" you can eat you know you don't need to wait for me" I said to her as I sat down too,

" we in family we wait for everybody except family member busy doing something" she said smiling softly,

I nodded in understanding, she closed her eyes and grabbed my hand that was close to her, I frown looking at her I was about to ask her what she was about to do but I notice her say something in another language I guess she was praying then she said amen and opened her eyes and looked at me,

" you say amen Ethan" she said softly,

" oh amen" I said awkwardly, I've never been a religious person nor I have ever prayed, she nodded her head in approval and started eating.

I glanced her at her once in awhile, she was so beautiful, just looking at her puts me at peace, she eats her food soon enough she was done she got up and washed her plate along with the other things that I left earlier when I was cooking.

it was past midnight and I was dressed and prepared for my mission, I sat in the living room waiting for the phone to ring, guilt was eaten me away and I don't know why all I knew is because of the woman sleeping peacefully in my bed,

I was taken out of my thought and misery by the phone that was vibrating I quickly got up and answered it,

" Washinton street 47, 62 years Phillip George he lives alone so this is easy for you after you're done burn the house to the ground, call me when you're done with the mission I have another job for you to do and it's out of the States I need you to leave as soon as possibile after tonight" I was quiet the whole time,

this man was the one that made me start this life, he saved me from myself so I pay him back by working for him, his one of the most dangerous people I've ever came across.
"I can't leave out of the states right now assign me to another mission" I said to him,

I heard him intake a breath as if I punched him, it kind of is, I've never rejected his assignments, Rayna was the cause and I don't how to deal with all this,

"What the fuck did you just say Ethan? I don't care You're going to do what I said you'll do don't question me you know how things will end and in your case it will be way worst" he said with anger and aggravation hanging up,

I rubbed my face I frustration,

"Now I have more problems on my head fucking great" I said as I walked out of the door and got in my car.

I was so distracted throught out all the driving, i have to do a fake Id for Rayna, I can't leave her here by herself, I parked my car at my usual spot and continued my journey walking.

I got to my location and took a deep breath, all my problems I threw them at the back of my head and let go off every emotion and I took control, the one that the saw as the real moster the real assassin, I cover my face and prepared all my weapons and walked into the bushes I climbed a tree to see if the coast is clear, just on my luck my target was standing right in front of his office window kissing a young lady, I scoffed in disgust because I was sure that that young lady was under age,

" fucking pig" I whispered as I looked around, security cameras where everywhere same goes for the armed bodyguards,  I took out my rifle and silencer and prepared, with one swift move I targeted and fired, the man fell to the ground with a bullet to the head, the girl that was there with him screamed in horror getting the attention of the guards, most of them ran into the house in alarm,  I took that chance to jump down the tree and silently ran out of the bushes and kept running till I was out of site, looking around I saw my parked car and walked over to it, I climbed and got out of there casually, I removed my bulletproof jacket and threw it at the back same as my gun.

I took my time in going home, I thought of how I was going to take Rayna with me and all the disgust and shame I felt for myself surfaced in my mind, I shook my head trying to remove this thought to myself,
I took my phone and diled my boss,

" it's done " I said as soon as he answered the call,  I didn't want give the chance to answer as I cut the call, my life at this point is just a mess, few seconds later I heard my phone vibrate, I looked towards it and saw that he transferred my money, I looked away and continued my journey home.
