Y/N's POV

We walked inside the gigantic machine Hank had built outside. Charles was going to use the device to find mutants who could potentially join our cause.

"I call it Cerebro. It's Spanish for brain" Hank said.

"The electrodes connect Y/N or, in this case, Charles to the transmitter on the roof. When they pick up a mutant, their brains will send a signal trough a relay and then their coordinates are printed" Hank explained.

"You designed this ?" Raven asked, impressed.

"Yeah"

Charles walked under Cerebro and placed the helmet on his head.

"You make an adorable little lab rat, Charles" Erik commented.

"Don't spoil this for me, Erik" Charles answered.

"I've been a lab rat, I know one when I see one"

Hank began plugging wires on Cerebro and making sure the machine worked.

"Are you sure we can't shave your head ?" Hank asked Charles.

"Don't touch my hair"

I imagined a bald Charles and smiled.

"What's making you laugh ?" Erik asked, curious.

I used Charles's powers to project the image in everyone's heads.

We all laughed. All except Charles.

"Very mature" Charles said, slightly annoyed.

Hank began powering up the machine. We all looked at Charles. He closed his eyes, grabbed the railing that was around him and screamed.

He stopped screaming and began laughing. The machine began writing locations on a piece of paper.

We were ready to find mutants.

~

Raven and Charles were sent to find a mutant while Erik and I were tasked to find another.

Erik and I got inside a cab and looked at the driver. He matched the image I saw in Charles's mind.

"Where to ?" The driver asked.

"Richmond, Virginia, please" I answered.

"Right so you want the airport, the stations, what ?"

"No we were hoping you would take us all the way" Erik said.

"That's a six-hour drive"

"That will give us plenty of time to talk" I said.

Erik moved the mirror using his powers.

"We need your help" I said.

~

We walked inside a prison.

"Are you sure this is the right place ?" I asked Charles.

"Yes, I'm certain"

We walked towards the front desk. Charles showed the receptionist the badges we had been given by the CIA.

"We're here to see Alex Summers" Charles said.

A guard side-eyed us and then began leading us towards the cells.

He stopped us before we could continue following him. He began patting us down to see if we had any weapons. The guard took longer to check me. He kept on touching my hips. Before his hands could go any lower, Erik grabbed his wrist, with an angry expression. The guard pulled his hand away and scoffed.
