"Yoriichi, Tanjiro? your face is covered in soot, come over here" a soft voice said coming out of the house.

Kie wiped the soot off two boys face.

"It's dangerous with all this snow. You don't have to go, you know?" She said.

"Well we want everyone to eat their fill on New Years, so we will sell as much charcoal as we can!" Tanjiro said.

Kie's eyes softened, "Thank you."

"Niichan! NiiSan!"

"Your going to town again today?" A little boy with pink eyes asked in excitement.

"I'm going with you guys!" The girl in pink kimono said.

"Oh no your not," Kie stood up.

"You know you can't walk fast like Yoriichi and Tanjiro"

"Kaa Chan!!" The boy whined.

"You may not" kie said firmly.

"Since they can't use the cart today, they won't be able to give you a ride when your tired."

He pouted.

"Nii channnnnnn!!" He ran over to Yoriichi, hugging him.

"I wanna go with you!" The girl said.

"I promise I'll help!"

Yoriichi placed his on his brothers head while Tanjiro patted his sister.

"Thank you Hanako." Yoriichi said, making Hanako have hope in taking her with them.

"But your staying home today." Yoriichi finished.

"Ehhhhh?!" Hanako said.

Yoriichi kneeled to the height of His brother.

"You to Shingeru. But we'll get you some goodies, okay?" Yoriichi said.

"Really?" Shingeru asked

"Yeah!" Tanjiro said.

"Heheh" Shingeru giggled.

"And Hanako, I'll read for you when I get back" Yoriichi said.

"Okay!"

"That's a good girl." Tanjiro smiled.

"Thank you so much, Tanjiro and Yoriichi" Kie said.

"Mhm!"

"Sure."

"Okay we will be heading out now" Tanjiro said.

"Takeo!" Tanjiro called.

"Will you chop as much wood as you can?"

"Sure I'll do it but... *turns around* I was hoping me and Niichan could do it together." He mumbled after he turns his head. Pouting.

Yoriichi went over and pat his head, making Takeo blush.

"It's okay" he said

"HEY! What are you doing cut it out!" Takeo flinched, blushing hard.

"Look look! Take is blushing!" Shingeru teased.

"Hey! You shut up" he defended.

"There there" Tanjiro joined in.

"HEY I SAID CUT IT OUT!" He said in a blushing mess.

They laughed.

"Hurry back okay?" Shingeru yelled.
