D Gray Man: Kanda Yu x Neko!Reader (part1)

You were somewhat different among the other exorcists of the black order.... Why? Well its because of your cat ears and tail.

You were a runaway test subject from a laboratory that did several tests on you and your body...........that resulted into having cat ears instead of normal ears and a cat tail. But when General Klaud found you, she trained you into an Exorcist and you are accepted into the European branch. Heck, they even thought that you're adorable with your cat looks.

Today's a boring day. Allen and Lenalee were out on a job somewhere in the south, Lavi and Bookman were also out on a job. The same thing with Marie and Miranda.

You sighed and began walking. "Some training would be nice." You said as you changed into your practise clothes which is a pair of shorts, sleeveless top and your boots. When you got there, you saw the blue haired swordsman, Kanda Yu.

You've seen him fight before and cant help but be amazed by his actions. Right now, he was slicing up the wooden bars (about 8inches long) that were being shot at him fast in half and he didn't miss even one.

When he was done, you ran to him and smiled.

"Kanda-san! That was amazing!"

"..."

"Can you have a training session with me?"

"..."

"Please? It'll only be for a short while."

"..."

"Please???"

"... I dont have time to play around with cats." He said and left...

You had your head down and blinked back tears... It always hurt you when others call you 'cat' because it made you feel like you're not human and it reminds you of the time you were once a test subject.

You sighed and trained. Thankfuly, a Finder was kind enough to agree to train with you.

Timeskip to a week later

As of now, you were walking deep in the woods with Kanda. No one's talking and you know that he'll just ignore you. You were walking around when your cat ears suddenly twitched. You stood still and let your ears twitch.

"Oi why'd you stop?" He asked you but you just stood there. He must've noticed your twitching ears and didn't say anything.

"Something's coming.....a lot of them." You said and prepared yourself, pulling out your spear. Kanda prepared himself and then several Level 1s and 2s appeared.

They attacked and the two of you fought back. While fighting against three Level 1s, you didn't notice one Level 2 behind you. You were pushed aside and when you looked up, you saw Kanda.

"K-Kanda-san!"

"Do you have a death wish cat?!"

"... I..."

"If you die it aint my problem you got that!" And off he went.

You got on your feet and began fighting the akumas. In no time, they were all gone and sat on a rock, tired. You looked at Kanda and he still has the same expression on his face. But insted of resting, he continued walking and you followed, ignoring the stingy feeling on your feet.

The two of you reached an in but.... Luck really isnt with you. "I'm sorry but the only room we have left is for one. And all the other inns are fully booked." The lady said.

KANDA YU'S POV

I just took the room and in we went. It was fairly spacious, one bed, couch, table and chairs, a cabinet, windows and curtains and an indoor shower.

(Name) took a peek before closing the door. She took off her hooded coat, exposing her cat ears and tail.

"I'll take a shower first." She muttered and ran in.

I sighed and went out. There was another bathroom out so I'll take that.

YOUR POV

When you stepped out of the bathroom, you were wearing your pajamas (a long sleeve night gown) and you didn't see Kanda. You shrugged it off and you know that he can take care of himself.

You slipped on your hoodie and plopped on the bed. Your eyes closed and off to sleep.

YU KANDA'S POV

After the rather refreshing bath, I went in the room and saw the cat asleep. I took a seat on the couch and dozed off, mugen next to me.

A few hours passed when I heard something. I opened my eyes and saw the cat got up. Her eyes were dull and she was looking at the door blankly.

She slowly stood up and walked to the door. Her movements... There's something off. When she stepped outside, I heard her mutter 'daddy' and left.

I ignored her and gave some thought about what she said, 'daddy'. From what I know, her parents are both dead. But then again... Her movements... "Something is off." I muttered.

I got up and followed the cat. Who knows what will happen to her and her Innocence?
