Code Geass: Julius Kingsley x Suzaku

OK so I know that I haven't updated for a long time and I'm sorry guys. Its only 3 months of school left and we (me and my 2015-2016 fellow batch mates) are VERY busy.

But I will try to update as soon as I can

"Julius! What happened in here?!" The young knight rushed into the kitchen with a fire extinguisher and extinguished a burning pot of whatever-that-was.

The other male, Julius, helped him throw away the black charcoal like things and cleaned up the kitchen.

"I... Was just trying to..."
"To what?"
"To... make an.... omelette."
"Ha?"

Suzaku suddenly began laughing much to his friend's annoyance. "Its not funny... And I was trying you know." He said as he read the ingredients and procedures on how to make the omelette.

Suzaku slowly stopped laughing and looked at his  friend. He took a spare (colour) apron and wore it. Julius looked at him as he took some of the ingredients from the fridge.

"You could have just asked you know. Your sister is a good cook."
"Then she'd laugh at me for not being able to do a simple dish like this."
"Well I'd be terrified to stay in a kitchen with you because of what happened."
"Suzaku!"
"But seriously, you could asked me for help Julius." And Suzaku smiled at him. Julius looked to a side with slightly red cheeks which his friend seems to fail to notice.

And so...the duo began to cook. Suzaku was teaching Julius everything but it seems that even in the kitchen, Julius is a kuyz as he dropped he spatula, the whisk, the measuring cups, the ingredients, accidentally melted the butter and was a disaster in the kitchen.

But Suzaku would just help him and tell him to relax while teasing him a bit. Julius would get a bit annoyed but still continued with the cooking lesson.

And after 1 hour, he finally finished the omelette.

"Its yellow and a bit puffy... It looks good Julius."
"Well yeah I guess... But do you think it'll taste good?"
"... Hopefully..."
"You too huh... Even I'm not sure if this will taste good."
"Well I you put your heart into it I'm sure it'll taste good."
"Really?"
"Yep. So why don't you just take this to your sister and I'll clean up."
"Let me help."
No. The last time you helped me clean up the kitchen, you suddenly set the mop on fire."
"Y... Yeah... I... forgot about that..."

Suzaku just smiled and playfully punched Julius' shoulder and began to clean up. Julius picked up the tray and was headed to the door when he stopped and turned.

"Hey Suzaku?"
"Yeah?"
Well... I was wondering if... well... when we you're free... uhmm... would you... ugh... teach me-"
"How to cook without burning the kitchen or the palace down? Sure."
"W-Wha?! I did not burn the kitchen down!"
"But it was almost gonna happen you know."
"Well it didn't."
"Hai hai. Off you go now your Majesty or else the omelette's gonna get cold."

And so Julius left with the tray of omelette while Suzaku began cleaning the kitchen and getting rid of the charcoal pieces that he doesn't want to know how it got there.

Timeskip a few weeks later

And true to his word, Suzaku did teach Julius how to cook. He started with simple recipes and helped his friend with them. But, just as he expected, His Klutz-jesty was being a klutz and is burning something.

For today's  recipe, Suzaku decided to teach him how to make shrimp tempura. And so they prepared everything and all there's left to do was the frying.

"Julius lower the flame!"
"I just did!"

And so the risk of cooking with him was soon over as the tempura was all done. Suzaku sigh and slumped down to his seat exhausted. Julius finished playing the food and took a bite.

"I cant believe it. It actually tastes like shrimp. It tastes like shrimp tempura! Suzaku you sh-"

JULIUS KINGSLEY'S POV
I smiled at my friend. He was asleep. I put my tempura down and took off the apron. I walked to him.

He must've been tired from his duties and this cooking session.

"You should've told me you were tired. You idiot." I sighed and carried him (piggy back style) to his room.

Entering his room, I tucked him down and looked at him.

He's busy with knight duties but still agreed to teach me how to cook. That Suzaku.

I turned to leave and formulated a plan on how to thank him.

SUZAKU'S POV
Its been three weeks since Julius told me to not teach him how to cook. He must've been busy with other priorities besides cooking.

As I was walking down the halls, I noticed that a certain room's light was open so I went there. And guess what? It was the kitchen.

The door was open and so I took a peak and saw Julius designing a .... cake? The cake was white and has some red crumb like design around it.

"S-Suzaku?!"

Whoops, he caught me.

I entered the kitchen and looked at the cake he baked.

"Its a pretty cake. Did you bake this?" I Asked him and he just nodded.
"Its a red velvet cake."
"Really? I can't believe that you didn't burn the kitchen down while baking this."
"I'm improving OK. My cooking skills are slowly improving."
"Hai hai. So, can I have a slice?"
"Hu? Oh uh... Sure..."

I took a knife and cut myself a piece and took a bite.

"Well... How is it?"
"..."
"... Is it good?"
"..."
"Does it taste like cake?"
"Well..."
"Does it taste like red velvet?"
"Well... It does taste like red velvet but..."
"But?"
"Its... salty."
"Huh?"

Julius grabbed a fork and took a bite of the cake. "Salty."

I just patted his back and smiled. "You tried Julius. And it's a common mistake. Don't worry."

I walked to the counter to out down !y platter until he spoke out.

"That cake was supposed to be perfect. I wanted to..."
"To?"
"S... S.... Surprise you with that cake... I wanted to." His cheeks were slightly red.
"Eh?"
"You... You've been patient and put up with me while I was a mess t cooking. You even taught me how to cook and I wanted to surprise you with the cake but..."

He didn't look at me and I imagine how red his face is. I smiled and gave him a hug.

I could tell that he was surprised at what I did. I mean, who wouldn't?

"S... Suzaku?"
"Aregato Julius. You tried your best to surprise me with a salty red velvet cake-"
"Hey!"
"- and got yourself hurt I'm the process. I'm thankful for your surprise really."

We just hugged there for who knows how long and I even insisted that I would fish the cake no matter how salty it is. He insisted not to but I paid no attention to him and began to eat the cake.

After all, the one who made this cake is an important person to me.
