Chapter 4

•Rowan's POV•

"Blanchard" someone beats on the door

I groan and open the door "Meyer"

He smiles "are you coming to breakfast or not"

"Didn't plan on it" I look around and realize everyone else is gone...hmmm I didn't notice

"Awe come on" he begs

"Nah" I say and shut the door

He knock againm "whaa--"

He picks me up and puts me over his shoulder.

"Peyton put me down" I demand

He stops "nah" he says and takes me to the cafeteria

"You're such a dork" I joke

We walk into the cafeteria, get our food and find our table.

"Good morning friends" Peyton says "I have captured Miss Blanchard and brought her to us"

They all clap and laugh.

"Thanks for leaving me Sabrina" I say sarcastically

"I told you I was leaving"

I shrug and take a bite of my toast.

"Hey cutie" some girl says hugging Peyton from behind

"Oh uhh hey Abby"

She sits down and grabs his hand "who are your friends"

He slowly moves his hand away and introduces us. She just smiles.

"Well I'll catch you later" she says perky and kisses his cheek.

As she walks away he slightly wipes his cheek and rolls his eyes.

I glare at her until Sabrina nudges me and gives me a look, telling me to chill.

"I didn't know you had a girlfriend" I say trying to sound happy

He looks at me with a fake, side smile "yeah.."

Wow, I was hoping he'd say no. Whatever, no point in getting upset. After camp is over I won't see him again.

I shouldn't get attached.

•Peyton's POV•

"look buddy if you hurt Rowan, I'll hurt you" Sabrina says pinning me against the wall

"Sabrina" I gently move her away from me "what are you talking about"

"You've been leading her on... You make her think you like her then your girlfriend shows up"

"Look, I don't even like Abby"

She looks at me confused

"Yesterday she was crying so I tried to comfort her, because I'm a nice guy. All of a sudden she kisses me, but I didn't kiss back. Later that day she asked me out ....I couldn't say no. I hate hurting people" I explain

"You're hurting Rowan"

I look at the ground "I know, and I hate myself for it"

"Do you like Rowan" she asks

"Rowan is an amazing girl"

"That wasn't the question"

"Fine, yes. I do" I say getting frustrated

"Then I think you know what you need to do" she says and walks away

She scares me. .

•Rowan's POV•

"I'm so stupid to fall for a guy so quick" I complain

Sabrina sits next to me and wraps her arm around my shoulder "you're not stupid ....hey I fell for a guy that didn't even know I existed"

"But yours is a silly crush"

"True"

I lay my head on her shoulder as silence fell across the room.

She speaks up "Rowan, Peyton really lik--"

She's cut off by a knock on the door "Blanchard, we need to talk"

I look at her "what do I do"

"Talk to him duhh" she pushes me up and pushes me to the door.

I open it "Meyer"

"Can we talk"

I nod and walk outside

"I broke up with Abby"
