"Don't go out too far Iris," Boog snickered as I rode the waves of the ocean

"Don't go out too far Iris," Boog snickered as I rode the waves of the ocean. "You'll be shark bait!"

I genuinely never felt so free in my entire life. I grew a new found love for jetskiing although this is my first time.

The plan wasn't to go too far, but beating Boog in a race was way better than what I intended.

"You just mad you can't keep up with me," I turned around to see he wasn't too far behind.

"That's neva' been the issue," he laughed. "Come on, we atleast gotta get close to the shore before they have the sea police look for us,"

"Like we did anything wrong, they were just trying to give us a hard time," I shrugged it off.

The man that ran the rental was rude and seemed to dislike us from the get go. I tried not to let it bother me even though it was questionable. We were paying him for a service and he made it seem we were bad for business.

If I was Boog, I wouldn't have given him a penny but he insisted considering I wanted to go jet skiing in the first place.

"You ain't tired yet?" Boog looked over to me with an eyebrow raised.

"It's happy hour somewhere, after a few margaritas and some dancing I might be. But this shit was an energy boost, so I'm not tired. Are you?" I pursed my lips and glanced at him.

His eyes did look heavy, I wasn't really surprised though our flight was long. I didn't really give him time to rest cause I like to be on the move.

"A little bit, I should be fine though. I really don't wanna go back home. This the most fun I had in awhile not gonna lie," Boog gave me a brief smile.

"I can say the same," I nodded. "Ready to ride back?

"Yeah," he sighed and turned the handle to accelerate, leaving me behind.

I followed behind him and felt the breeze of wind on my wet skin.

As we grew closer to the shore, I felt relieved. It seemed like we were hours away but really we didn't go that far out like I thought.

I was ready to hand off this jetski to someone else because the liquor was calling my name. I did a little drinking last night and wonder if that had something to do with my purse missing.

I recall being faded but I always try to be on my best behavior.

"You'll need to pay an additonal $50" the man that owned the rental company spoke to Boog as we parked the jetskis.

"For what?" I raised an eyebrow. "There's no reason for you to be charging us. Can't tell someone they need to pay you with no explanation, this is a shitty way to run an establishment. That's how you make your money?"

"I gave you both extra time and you went out further than I told you to," He proceeded to count money that was already in my hand. "So pay up,"

"No," I insisted.
