Sophie groaned into her hand when 'sibling intervention' went out the window and Chris was telling her to 'wing it.' she didn't understand the sudden heartache, it had been months, surely she should be over it by now.
she moved over to the counter ordering her coffee to-go and standing off to the side. she could feel his eyes on her but she refused to meet his gaze, scared she'd breakdown in her favourite New York café.
he watched her the whole time she stood staring at the background on her phone pretending to type away important looking messages, when she went to grab her latte and as she walked out the door. it was awkward.
it wasn't until she was back at the studio that she let herself hurt. she didn't cry, just sat on the floor with her head in her hands praying for something...
