Chapter 1

The cool air whipped around the humans hidden base in the mountains, The base used to be an old prison that is now recommissioned into a base now heavily fortified and guarded by the last of the human elites. While that happen a pilot and an engineer was standing near one of the helicopters talking

Jake: "So is my bird ready to fly then?"

Engineer: "Yes it's ready to fly pilot shortie"

Jake: He scoffed, he hated when people called him short
"So what's the flaw with the M1 hinds?"

Engineer: "It is to not be near a thunderstorm at any time because if lighting strikes the helicopter the battery will get cooked"

Jake: "Ah I see now.. anyways time to go to briefing..."
He would start to walks to the briefing room where the commander is

"Hello commander Whats my new task now?"

Commander: "Your new task pilot 117 is to pick up the recon squad near the farmland, You will be able to see them because wolf the IR strobe light"

Jake: "Yes sir!"

Commander: "Good luck Jake"

Jake: He turns around and starts to jog back to where the helicopters are kept at, When he finally makes it to the M1 hinds he opens the door and gets in
"Ah I'm so happy to be back in the hinds"
He would turn on the radio
"Pilot 117 requesting take off"

ATC: "Pilot 117 you are clear to take off happy hunting"

Jake: He starts up the helicopter and the rotator slowly start to pick up speed until they are at a RPM that Jake could take off. The helicopter slowly lifted up off the ground and rose up into the sky
"Here we go!"
He pushed the flight stick forward and the helicopter tilted forward and began moving

30 minutes later

Jake: He would pick up the radio and change the frequency
"Squad number 223 can you hear me?"

Radio operator: "We can hear you loud and clear pilot, Do you see the IR strobe light?"

Jake: "Yep I do, and thank god you have it because I can barely see shit this night"
He would slowly bring the helicopter to a landing
Which he would see the squad moving to the helicopter quietly and opening the side doors and boarding the helicopter

Squad leader: "great job now let's get out of here!"

Jake: "Alright! We are going!"
Bullets start to hit the helicopter as the squad leader shuts the door. While that is happening the helicopter starts to get off the ground and fly up and turn to the gunfire.
"Let's see if you can dodge this"
With a click on the control stick 2 rockets fire at the wooden house where the gunfire was taking place and turning the wooden house into shrapnel*

Radio operator: "Wooo nice job pilot!"

Jake: The helicopter turns away and starts to fly away from the area back to base
"Thank you, I noticed three people came in the helicopter what about the fourth one?"

Squad leader: "He... stayed back with his LMG,the last thing I heard over his radio was don't die now guys you guys can make it, before another voice was heard and the radio went silent.."

Jake: "I'm sorry for your loss but he did the right thing and probably saved you guys from getting surrounded"

Squad leader: "I wish that was me who stood back.."

Jake: "Never! Your a squad leader you are needed at all times!"
He looked back
"If you swapped places with your machine gunner you squad would have fallen into disarray and all of them could be killed or captured!"
He looked back forward now noticing that the flew into a thunderstorm
"Shit!"

Squad leader: "What's wrong?"

Jake: "We flew into a thunderstorm.."

Squad leader: "And? Is the helicopter designed to survive a lightning strike?"

Jake: "Not this type, this is a M1 if lighting hits the helicopter the battery gets fried"

After he said that lighting would hit the tail of the helicopter causing the helicopter to shake violently and the battery would surprisingly survive

Jake: "Jesus that was rather too close.."
*He swapped radio frequencies and heard gunfire*
"W-what?? ATC come in?"

ATC: "Pilot 117 the base is under attack! The furs have breached the outer perimeter we need h-
A gunshot would be heard and audible walking would be heard and the sound of the radio being picked up

???: "your base has now fallen with no survivors good luck pilot"
The radio shuts off

Sniper: "I-is that really true that the base has fallen??"

Jake: "I have to assume yes..."
They flew out of the thunderstorm

Sniper: "t-then where do we go now then?"

Jake: "There's a secondary base not too far away, it's designed to be a fallback position"

Beep beep beep missile lock

Jake: "SHIT! missile lock!"
He tried to activate chaffs but it was too late and the tail took the hit
"Hold on guys! We are going down!"

Meanwhile on the ground

???: "Nice shot with the launcher, Now we move in and take survivors"

???: the person with the launcher looked at the squad leader
"If there's even any survivors"

They heard the helicopter crash

???: "Squad move quickly!"
The fur squad began moving to the wreck

At the crash sight

Jake: he wakes up outside of the helicopter and sits up and looks around, He would see three bodies on the ground dead
"Shit.... This is not good.."
Before he had a chance to do anything the helicopter exploded and pushed jake back on the ground
"Agh!"

???: "report that helicopter is fucked I doubt there's any survivors"

Jake: "Oh shit.."
He got up and started to run

???: "HEY! Runner!"
The hyena fur dropped her gear and began running after jake

Jake: "Jesus I-I think I'm more injured then I thought.."
He looked down at his chest which was bleeding
Jake: "I-I can make it!"

???: "Stop running your going to kill yourself!"

Jake: "Like hell! I'll never stop running!"
While continuing to run he took out his Walter PPQ and fired at the hyena twice but none of the shots hit and his gun jams
"What kind of fucking shitty gun base gives to a pilot?!"
He would get tackled by the hyena

???: "pilots secured! And he's bleeding from his chest get a medic over here!"

Jake: He would have tried to grab his knife but Due to his injures he couldn't

???: "And quickly!"

Jake: "D-Die in h-"
He would pass out from his blood loss
