It smells like her. Tangerines.

It's overwhelming, too much for me.

I thought it would be easy. But my heart aches with pain.

I'm sorry Rose. I should have seen the signs. Should have been nicer to you.

I pick up the photo of her and smile as I see the smile that made me happy.

She was hugging her friend both of them hugging each other, both in their soccer uniform, both in the grass smiling like there is no tomorrow.

I place it back down and look around the room.

I spot an envelope sticking out from under the pillow.

Grabbing it I flip it around and see my name in bold letters.

I sit in her bed and open it wanting to read what in a way will break me.
