Was all I heard when we walked in. I was more than nervous. Everybody kept staring.
"It's gon be okay girl. Tink nem just real popular." Bailei told me.
"I can tell." I looked at everyone. They were all in there on world. Every single boy that came with us had a girl on there side. All the girls looked dumb drooling over them. But that's not my business.
"You look young." Some girl came up to me smacking on her gum. These girls somehow always bother me.
"Back the fuck up. With yo pale ass." Bailei rolled her eyes.
"Girl why you talking for her. She retarded or something." The girl laughed. Everything started coming back to me. When people use to bully me in elementary school. They called me retarded because I told my elementary bestfriend I had autism. I was overwhelmed. I started crying bad. It felt like I was gonna have an asthma attack.
"Yo what the fuck is wrong with her." I heard somebody yell.
"Come on tootie." Bailei grabbed me and took me to a bedroom.
"Here." She went through her bag and grabbed my asthma pump.
"You okay." She asked once she saw I was calm.
"I wanna go home." I sniffed.
"It's okay tootie. We gon take you home." She hugged me. I heard someone open the door.
"Man what happened." JB looked at me then at Bailei.
"This pale ass bitch called her retarded. I was finna beat her ass but the tootie started having a asthma attack." She explained.
"Come on." He grabbed my hand.
"I wanna talk to mommy." I rubbed my ear.
"Okay when we get in the car." He held my hand tight as we walked out the bathroom.
"Bailei go get mason." He told Bailei. And we walked out.
"Wait where y'all going." Scooby walked up.
"We gon head out. Our momma want us home." He dapped him up.
"Ight Capri." He gave me a side hug.
I didn't say anything I just waved.
"Hello my love." My momma picked up the phone.
"Hi mommy." I smiled hearing her voice.
"You okay." She asked me.
"I'm fine. I just wanna hear your voice." I told her.
"What happened tootie." She asked.
"Someone called me retarded." I fixed my hearing aid.
"Tootie just know you are not retarded. You are a smart beautiful young lady. People are ignorant and will say anything out of there mouth. Don't believe everything people say. I'm not saying you believed that person. But I know you thought about what happened in elementary school. Do you know the persons name." She asked me.
"No." I shook my head. She couldn't see me tho.
"Where are you at."
"Mason is about to drop Bailei off then we are headed home." I told her.
"Okay. I love you." She told me.
"I love you too mommy." I hung up.
"You okay tootie." Mason asked me.
"Im okay." I nodded.
"You want anything to eat." He asked.
"Hmm can we get Zaxby's." I smiled. I love Zaxby's.
